(Sorry for any grammar errors and spelling mistake. I wrote this really quick so I did not have time to look over this chapter!)
I pull into my childhood home after a 3 hour drive. I've lived in this house all of my life. Always stayed in the same room, same school, knew the same people. My life was always the same. But now I have a lot of excitement in my life now that I moved to New York.
I turn my phone off after all the missed calls from Harry. He has been calling me non stop and it's pissing me off. Does he actually think I'm going to answer after he did that to me? Well no im not.
I walk up the front steps and take in a deep breath before knocking on the door. I wait a moment before the door squeaks open. I look over to see my dad in a pair of sweatpants and shirt, looking like he just got up.
"Hey Lacey, what are you doing here?" He smiles, a little to widely.
"I just wanted a break and come see how you were doing," I said, pulling him into a tight hug.
He pulls away after a moment and looks around worriedly. I don't pay any attention to it so I just walk in normally. We walk in the kitchen and I sit down. He bring me over a pepsi and some pretzels. My favorite things when I was younger.
I look around at my childhood home. Everything looks exactly the same. Pictures of my brother and I when we were younger everywhere. My mom decorated the house so my dad never really touched anything she did.
My brother and I used to always play hide and seek when we were kids. That was our favorite game. When it was raining, we'd play for hours straight.
"So hows college going for you sweety?" He asks me, taking a seat.
I look down at my hands for a moment before responding. "Its great, its going great," I give him a small smile.
He nods, acting a little distracted.
I hear the front door open. I turn my head in the direction of the door and see a women that looks about my dads age. She was wearing a dress that was a little below her knees with her hair tied back. She was actually beautiful.
My dad stands up walking over to her and smiles.
"Lacey I have to tell you something,"
"Okay," I said, dragging it out.
He hesitates for a moment before answering, "This is Miranda. She is .. well were getting married!" He said excitedly.
I choke on my drink spitting it out everywhere. I look up to see that I spit it out all over her dress.
