Chapter 53 - Strategy

I walk to the elevator. My father said he want to see me after school. He said he want to show me something. Maybe something hooked with his plan to confiscated BaekSang. When the lift open, I walk to his office on 55th floor where it is the highest in this building. I see his secretary was in front of his office.

"President Kang is waiting for you", he said.

I walk inside the office without answering or respond anything to him. As I entered the office, my father face is brighten.

"Hyekyo-ah", he said with smile.

"I guess you have a good news", I said as I put my bag on the sofa and sit there.

"Well, not really good but for a beginning, it is."

He put an envelope on the table and called his secretary outside. I take out a paper inside the envelope and read what it is. My father's secretary is opening the slide and turn on the LCD. The light from LCD radiated to the slide and I look at the slide.

"What is this?", I asked.

"Byun Taeil's document of BaekSang", my father's secretary said.

"So?"

"We gonna use this to take over BaekSang. Well, if this spread throughout the world, he will lost all of his shared in BaekSang and at the time, he will lost BaekSang too", said my father.

"How?"

My father signal his secretary to tell me.

"As you knew, President Byun was a old friend to Han Jaesil who is the owner of Hanseul known as BaekSang now. When Han Jaesil was dead, he gave this to his friend to handle this company. But, his friend, President Byun was not as genius as him to handle a big company like Hanseul back then. So, there was many time Hanseul was down. There also a record where he sold all his shared to one of the Hanseul's shareholder. And it was Park Youngmin."

"Park Youngmin? You mean the President of SN Group?"

"Yes. Let me continue."

He change the slide to the next one. 

"President Byun needs a lot of money to make sure to take Hanseul up again when Han Jaesil was in control. When Hanseul was in stable, he change the name to BaekSang to make that company his. When BaekSang won a title the Best Asian Company, President Byun bought his share. But President Park didn't agreed with that because they had their crisis of their company. Then, President Byun decided to make an agreement with President Park. This is their agreement."

He change the slide to the other side. An agreement like e said was shown on the slide. 

"This agreement contains of how they will help each other when they faced crisis. As you see, President Park agreed to sold his share back to President Byun with condition. Make him one of BaekSang's shareholder. And by that, President Byun sold 10% his shared to President Park."

"So, what do you mean by we can get Baeksang by this? It just a history of BaekSang's share."

"Of course it can", my father suddenly interrupt.

"This", my father secretary change to another slide and what Is showing on the slide make me quite shock.

"President Byun sold to his 90% of his share to SN Group with...bribery."

"What?"

"Look here. The record said he invested 90% of his share on that company. He bribed President Park to make sure Hanseul get the Best Asian Company's title back then because President Park was one of the judge when Hanseul was nominated."

"So, you mean, Hanseul won by bribery instead of itself?"

"Yes."

I had expect this might happen but I didn't think it was this bad. If the media and whole know, BaekSang might bankrupt and President Byun lost his control of BaekSang. When that happen, my father will take a part to make sure he can take BaekSang.

"So, how do think? It might help us, right?"

"Well, it is but how do you want spread this without anyone knew it was you who spread this?"

"Well, I don't want to spread this right away."

"What do you mean?"

"As you see, the agreement might bring us to the way we want without we killed each other."

I look at his eyes. Yeah, he might really want to do that. 

"Well, you decide on your own."

"Great."

He exit the office with his secretary to go somewhere. Maybe he want to solve this as fast as it can. I'm still looking at the slide. President Byun......what was he thinking by bribe President Park to make Hanseul didn't fall? If this true, then he really want to BaekSang become his like now. 

I walk to the computer that my father's secretary was use to show me this. Somehow I feel like something is going wrong. I press the button on the keyboard to move the next page. It's all about the bribery that President Byun used to BaekSang until to the page where it is about President Park. 

Park Youngmin. His history with SN Group. His private life. Looks like my father was kind of a stalker. 

Address, family, wife names, son's nam.........my eyes can't take of the screen. W-What? H-How could it be? My memory start to remember him. Why? H-How can I forgot this? How can I forgot about him? How can I forgot President Park Youngmin is his father....
