Chapter 59 - A meeting

Hyekyo

I walked downstairs to the kitchen to grab some drink. I see Mum is sitting on the sofa in the living room while watching the television. 

"Mum".

She's still looking at the television without answering me.

"Mum", I said and touched her shoulder.

"Hyekyo-ah...", she said with a shocked face looking at me.

I feel so strange with this situation and look at the television screen. Dad once again comes out from the news.

"President Kang who was caught for murdering President Han Jaesil in a big fire 14 years ago that killed 77 people including guest, the staffs and Han Jaesil's family was escaped from the prison last night. He killed 2 guards in order to escape and now the police are trying hard to track him", said the reporter and they show the scene and 2 corpses.

I'm stunned by the news while Mum keeps revolt. The maids take her to her room upstair. He knew it. He knew I'm the one who exposed him through the media before. He came to kill me.

I go to the school at early morning. Because it was snowing last night, the reporters were gone home. As I walked through the street, I feel dizzy. Last night, I can't close my eyes. The news about him keeps playing in my mind. Then, I feel like someone was following me. I act like I didn't notice that and continue walking. I feel like he was walking near me. I try to walk faster and slowly start running. After I'm sure he lost me, I stop at the traffic light to cross the road. Suddenly, my head is hurting and make me feel dizzy. My vision slowly becomes a blur. 

Then, I see someone is already cross the road. Without hesitating, I also cross the road. My head keeps hurting and I can't walk straight. I can't raise my head and look in front. Suddenly, I heard a loud horn. I stop walking and I closed my eyes as my ear is ringing when I heard the horn. When I look on the right, I can't see properly because of my vision. A big van is in front of me. I was too shocked and can't move my leg. I closed my eyes as the van is almost near to hit me.

Then, I feel a hand grab mine and pull me behind. When I was open my eyes, I was in his embrace. My breath was unstable. When I start to come into my sense, I keep a distance from the body and see the face.

"Are you trying to kill yourself?", he said.

Byun Baekhyun.

I didn't answer his question because my head is still hurting and dizzy. I walk away but he stops me by standing in front of me.  

"You really don't have manner. Saying thank you is really that difficult? What? Are you gonna die if you say that word?"

"Move."

"Right, someone like you really didn't have to grateful because you already have everything."

I didn't hear what he said just now. I'm so dizzy and the last time I remember I was unconscious.

When I open my eyes, I see a white ceiling. It was noisy. I close my eyes again when I feel a pain in my head. I knew where I was and sigh. 

"Are you awake?", a voice suddenly said.

I knew who is it by his voice without looking at him. 

"Are you okay?"

I didn't reply him or nodded at him. I'm still closing my eyes since the pain still doesn't go.

"Just rest. I'll already tell a teacher about you", he said before gone.

I sigh. I can't anything at all. The pain has more and more make me hard to sleep. But, after 30 minutes struggle, I fall asleep without I know.
