Chapter 67 - True Friend

"Congratulation for the you guys for finishing your exam. You may dismiss now", the teacher said and leave.

The students scream, show how happy they now after finishing their high school. Finally, we are not high schooler anymore.

"Yah!"

Suddenly someone put his arm around my shoulder. No need to look back. It must be Chanyeol.

"Finally we are free. Arrghh, I'm excited to play game the whole weeks."

"You and game can't seperated", I said while chuckled.

"Of course. Game is my life."

"Guys!!", suddenly a voice called me and Chanyeol.

I looked at the own of the voice and it was Yoojoung actually. I smiled at her.
"Let's go, guys. Let me treat you this time"? she said while smiling.

"Oooh, Kim Yoojoung. Finally you gonna open your precious purse for your friend and boyfriend", Chanyeol said while pinching her cheek.

"Yah, let go of this", she said while pushed Chanyeol's hand.

I smiled at their action. I take my bags and books.

"Sorry guys but I want to go to department. Sorry. You guys just hang out without me", I said and ignored the called from Yoojoung and Chanyeol because I was in hurry.

I fasters my leg to reach to the department. I see my homeroom teacher which is not Jooyoung seonsengnim anymore. He send his resign letter to school a day after the final exam started. Everyone was confused except me, Chanyeol and Yoojoung.

But after a week, all the question was answered. The news about Jooyoung seonsengnim arrest because of murdering someone shocked everyone. The police find the corpse of a man killed by him behind the school. Yoojoung as the witnessed showed the place where he was and gave a detailed about the case.

It was a chaos week with Jooyoung seonsengnim case and final exam. But fortunately, the principal was able to  cover the situation. It was turned to normal after that.

I knocked the door before enter the room. I see the teacher is smiling see me.

"Yes, Baekhyun-ah? What are you doing here? You still didn't go back?", he said.

"Ne. I want to ask you a question."

"I hope it's not a mathematic question", he said while smiling.

"No. It's not like that."

He once again smiling. I can guess why the students was going crazy with this teacher. His smiling can steal any girls heart.

"Ssaem, it's about Hyekyo".

"Hyekyo?", he said. He seems like thinking a bit.

"Aaa, that student. The only 3rd grade student who didn't take the exam, right?"

"Ne."

"What about her?"

"She didn't take her exam but can she still go to university? I mean, she didn't mean to not take but something was happening and it's prevent her from taking the exam."

"Who knows? But, it was never in history of our country for student can attend university without taking her important exam."

"Ah, is it?"

"But, I saw her report student book just now. It's incredible result. The student and teachers themselves acknowledge her genius brain so I don't think she has any problems to get a amazing result for entrance exam to get to university."

"You think so?"

"They think so."

"Thank you, ssaem."

"You come all along here to ask only that?"

"Aaa, it' s because..... because she's my friend."

"Friend? From what I heard from teachers and students here, she didn't have any friend. How come you are her friend?"

I can't answer his question. It was true after all. She had no friend or more like she didn't need a friend.
I see the teacher smiled.

"Well, I guess a friend didn't need to be acknowledge by anyone to be a friend."

"Pardon me?"

"Nothing. It just it was a first time. Someone come to me to ask about Hyekyo. Anyway, it's already spread around the Seoul so I don't think you need to hide it from me about her family."

Ssaem was right. About Hyekyo's family, it was spread throughout the whole city. About her mother and her father.

"But I guess a true friend do stick around when something bad happen to their friend either she was a bad or good person", he said while smiling.

I just smiling at his words.

"Anyway, I wish a good luck to you. Since she was not take this exam, I guess the honored awards become yours tomorrow."

I just smiling and bowed to him before leaving. But ssaem was calling me make me turn my face to him.

"Friends is something valuable when you know how to appreciate them. When they lost, try to hold their hand whether they like it or not. But the most important, try to know what's in their heart. The true friends is from a true heart not for being friendly", he said while smiling.

Then, I smiled at him and bowed before left. The whole journey from school is full me thinking about what ssaem said early.

He said like that and I didn't understand any single thing of what he said.
