Kurt turned on the light to see the boy, but apparently he wasn't expecting it, as he jumpscared when he saw Kurt.

"Sorry" I didn't mean to scare you" he was serious, but he couldn't help but laughing.

"Yeah" the guy mumbled.

Kurt finally got up "Nice to meet you, I'm Kurt."

The further he got, more the guy seemed acctractive. He had big brown eyes, brown messy hair and a very handsome face.

And he was very, very tall.

"Dan" he said, shaking his hand "Dan Howell"

"Well Dan, I already put my things in the right wardrobe" Kurt said. "Most of them" he added in a whisper.

"Where the heck am I supposed to put my clothes?!" Dan yelled when he opened the left wardrobe. "Did you bring your whole house or did you steal these from a botique on your way here?"

"I'll take that as a compliment" Kurt said, disappointed "But I guess I could put them in the drawer"

"So, where are you from?" Kurt asked as Dan was unpacking, interrupting the awful silence of the room.

"England" Dan replied, coldly. He didn't want to share details. The more someone knew about him, the more they disliked him. He learnt through the years that the more he stood silent, even if he wanted to express an opinion, the more people would stop avoiding his company. Which led to endless sadness since he was a kid. Noone liked to spend time with him, at least when he opened his mouth.

"Yeah, that was pretty obvious"

"Wokingham, Berkshire. But I've lived here for two years" Dan admitted, trying to keep up the conversation anyway. He always hated sitting silently with people, he would just say something to make the other feel more comfortable and end up ruining the situation.

"It's time to go to dinner, isn't it?" Dan said after sneeking at the digital clock on his bedside table.

"Yeah, we should get ready" replied Kurt, blushing at the thougt that the guy would get naked in front of him. Wasn't it what roommates do?

'Stop Kurt, enough' Kurt said to himself, he just met him and he didn't know anything about him, just that he was British and not really into having long conversations. He acted like a bear out of his burrow.

"Did you say something?" Dan asked from the bathroom.

"No...nothing" Kurt really didn't want to think about Dan in that way, but he had to admit that his roommate was pretty good-looking, and the thought that maybe there could be something more appealed him in some way.

Dan and Kurt walked down the stairs to the cafeteria, quietly.

"It doesn't look like Lima" Kurt said in amazement. The cafeteria was an enormus hall, with long white tables and a room just for the self service area. It was about five time larger than McKinley's. Only one of the tables was occupied. Almost ten students were sat and were talking loudly.

The food was nothing but the same as Lima's. It was a larger and more beautiful cafeteria, but it was still a cafeteria.

"Hey freshmen" a girl called the two guys as they were looking for a sit "Come sit with us!"

The girl that invited them was in her last year and was very thrilled at the idea of spoiling the littlest with anectodes about life in the academy, about the toughest teachers and the moments when she just wanted to get out of there. The other guys, otherwise, gave them survival tricks and advice.
