_____
troye grabs his car keys that dangle from the hook of keys that only ever seemed to contain his keys. making sure everything was locked troye walks down the flight of stairs that led to the apartments.
the sun was shining brightly in the sky, practically blinding troye as he walked over to his car unlocking it and getting inside the drivers side.
his thoughts went to what had happened last night. he couldn't forget the sensation he got from kissing jacob. jacob's lips were like fire on his, troye wanted to feel that heat once more but he knew it would be a long while before he felt something like that.
the one thing that really confused troye was rather his attraction to jacob was sexual or it was something more, he wanted to know what made him want this man, what made him desire for his body on his again. troye needed to talk to with someone about his desires for a man which were unusual to him.
pulling into the garage of his parents house, troye debates rather or not he should just drive back to his apartment. sage could still be mad at him for god knows what, and he didn't want to make it worse than it already is. tapping both of his middle fingers on the steering wheel in a rhythmic beat, he mumbles to himself unclear gibberish, pulling the key out the ignition.
troye hasn't been to his parents place since the day he moved out, which was the day he turned eighteen. being back to the house brought back a lot of memories, a lot of painful ones. ones that brought him to the place he is today and shaped him into the man he was.
troye didn't bother knocking, seeing as he did use to live here once upon a time ago. his mother turns her head from the couch, checking to see who entered the house. troye had hoped his parents wouldn't be home but of course nothing ever goes his way.
"oh troye! it's nice to see you." she happily says. she's not happy to see you, troye told himself. ever since troye had moved out of his parents house the only contact they ever made was when it came to sage and evan's wedding. it took his parents nearly four years to contact him again, troye didn't care he tried to tell himself.
troye walks pass his mother, not giving her the time of day just like she did him when he needed her the most. he walks up stairs, his eyes glancing at the wall full of family photos, his eyes catch on one and start to brim with tears. but troye wasn't the type to show emotion sober, he pushed his emotions away and saved them for when he was drunk. he tore his eyes off the photo walking the rest of the way to his sister's room.
he stood outside her door, listening to her talk. he knew eavesdropping wasn't something sage liked, but he couldn't help it.
"mel did troye ever tell you about-," before she could continue her words troye purposely opens the door stopping her words. he didn't want melody to know his past at least not from sage. "i have to go mel." she says hanging up her phone and sitting it on her night stand.
