tomorrow was the day of sage's wedding, troye was pacing back and forth in the bathroom of jacob's apartment his hands in his hair as the phone rested on the counter top. text message after message from his dealer was coming through and also ones from evan asking if he had the money. troye didn't have the money, he wasn't going to anytime soon either.

"babe you okay in there?" jacob questions from the other side of the door, with a soft knock. troye sits himself down in front of the door, his head in his hands.

"i'm okay, bub," he whispers loud enough for jacob to hear him.

jacob slides down the door, resting his head against the wood framing of the doorway. "you sure?" he questions leaning his head back. "because if not i'm always here babe,"

"i'm positive," the lie slips from his lips with ease, dripping off his tongue without any force. lying was easier than telling someone the truth because sometimes the truth hurt.

_____

jacob: baby i know ur lying

jacob: and it's okay

jacob: just know i'm here on the other side of the door if you want to chat

jacob: i love you

troye: i love you too

_____

troye stares down at his phone his heart pounding in his ears, he wasn't ready to tell jacob nor did he want to because he would think differently of him. but he didn't want to start this relationship off with lies.

he stood up from the spot the floor, his hand hover over the door knob. he unlocks it, twisting the knob a startled jacob falls on his feet looking up at him troye lets out a soft giggle staring down at his boyfriend.

"seriously jay?" he questions now straddling his waist. "did you not hear the lock?" he giggles into his chest, jacob snakes his arms around his waist holding him closer to him.

"apparently not," he chuckles running his free hand through troye's messy curls.

troye breaths into his neck, his hot breath hitting against his skin. jacob didn't dare move or ask troye to move because he liked this. he enjoyed the sweet moments like this they would share.

"i love you, you know that right?" troye lifts his head up staring at jacob. jacob nods. "and you know i wouldn't hurt you, ever?"

troye slides off of jacob, sitting himself on the opposite side of bathroom near the bathtub, jacob moves himself between his legs wrapping his long legs around his small body as much as he possibly could.

"troye, why is that even a question?" jacob sighs grabbing his chin. "i know you'd never do anything like that," he mumbles kissing his lips softly.

"do you wanna know exactly why i hate evan?" troye questions playing the string of his hoodie to distract his mind.

"only if you want to tell me," jacob says his hand squeezing troye's

"i do want to tell you," he mumbles softly. "i just don't really know how to."

jacob's thumb traces over his lip, "you trust me?" jacob questions a look in eyes that told troye if he said the wrong thing he'd be fucked.

"yes,"

jacob plants a soft kiss on his jawline, humming against his skin, "i trust you too," he nibbles at the skin making troye throw his head back.

jacob pulls away just as troye was starting to enjoy it. he smiles innocently at troye pecking the side of his mouth.

"try to explain it to me," jacob plays with his index finger bringing it up to his lips to kiss it.

"evan and i used to work for this guy. i didn't know evan till he started to work with me, when he got with sage i was outraged because...um, fuck. how to explain this? evan and i use to deal drugs until his dumbass convinced me to steal from our supplier. evan told me he was only taking the drugs but he stole seven thousand dollars," troye tells jacob not looking him in the eyes once.

"evan and i didn't speak for three years till he mysteriously appeared at my door, and begged me to not snitch on him. but his backstabbing ass blamed everything on me," troye bitterly chuckles looking down at his hands that were now in jacob's hold. "he told our supplier i stole some of the money too. but i didn't evan's dumbass did," troye then continues after pausing for a moment. "he got with sage that same year, and i still don't know why. i think it was to spite me or something. i have to bring the money to sage's wedding."

"why?"

troye shrugs. "can we talk about something else?" troye pleads wanting to distance himself from his current thoughts.

jacob nods, cupping his face in his hands, "i've got a better idea,"

jacob presses his lips to troye's making his brain stop all its thinking. all it could think was i'm kissing jacob bixenman, and god did it feel good to be kissed by him.

jacob's hands trail down from his face, gripping at the material around his hips. jacob draws patterns into his hipbone, his actions making the skin between his fingers burn and ache for more contact.

troye had never in his life had someone in his life that made him feel the things jacob did. jacob made him feel things that were new to him, and so scary but he learned how to accept them.

jacob detaches his lips from troye's looking down at him, "i love you,"

troye couldn't stop the smile from spilling across his lips as he listened to jacob say those words in his head.

"say it again," troye whispers afraid if he spoke too loud it would disturb the peace between them. troye's hand cups jacob's jaw, he drags his thumb across his bottom lip staring into his eyes as he waited for jacob to speak.

"i love you," he stresses out the love, smiling against troye's finger and giving it a quick kiss. "so damn much," he utters loud enough for troye to hear.

"i love you too,"
