That feeling

(Angela pov)

It was an early Monday morning. Genji would be already up and running  (around his room) by now.

I had been on a hard mission yesterday with Jack and Gabriel. We were meeting some government officials in Hollywood. The mission lasted until late at night so I didn't get much sleep. I felt overly sleepy but something else was up! I had that feeling that something wasn't right....

I had just woken up to find that I was feeling a little under the weather. My head was throbbing and my body felt weak and faint. I didn't want to get out of bed. But I had work to do!

I pulled myself out of my cozy and warm fortress of pillows and into the sudden room of cold. I rushed quickly and placed on my uniform before doing up my blonde hair in a neat ponytail. It was much harder than usual as I wasn't feeling so well, my ponytail ended up being more messy than I wanted.

I quickly checked my alarm clock that read 8:15am. I was late. I was never late! Genji would be worried sick!

My phase began to get frantic as I rushed out of my room and down the long hall to my office that was next to Genji's treatment room. I stopped suddenly as I realised I had forgotten my glasses, they were extremely necessary for me to complete my work.

I turned suddenly to head back quickly to my room and get my glasses that I must have dropped along the way. But found myself suddenly greeted by a friendly face.

It was Jack Morrison the commander of Overwatch and a long term friend of mine. He glared up at me with his blue eyes with a little confusion as he realised I was running late and that was something I never did.

"Morning Angela, I found your glasses on the floor just now and err... are you ok? You don't look so good" his voice sounded calm and worried as he asked me.

"Don't worry I'm fine honestly, just a little cold, I am a doctor after all!" I said hoping he wouldn't worry about me too much. I placed on my glasses before trying to pass Jack. But I was stopped by his firm hand across my shoulders, making me have to stop.

"Angela the mission yesterday... you got hit bad! If your not feeling up to it today you can go back and rest! You don't have to pressure yourself into working" Jack sounded very worried and caring as he held on to me tightly.

I could tell he was worried about me and I knew something was wrong. But I didn't want him to worry about me as he needed to be focused as he was the lead commander.

"I will be ok don't you worry" I smiled up happily at him and hoped he'd understand. He removed his hand from me and let me pass to my office to greet genji.

As I walked to my door I could tell Jack was still watching me as he always had an eye for me. He cared a lot for me and I thanked him for that. I could tell that Jack liked me a lot but my heart sadly doesn't fall for him.

"Genji?" I called as I closed the office door behind me and entered the room slowly. In an instant Genji hopped off of his bed where he had been meditating and straight up to greet me.

He gave me a warm hug and held me tightly. He was clearly worried about me as he of all people would notice when I'm late.

"Where were you Dr Ziegler?" He asked with a happy voice as he let go of my body. Genji could tell that something wasn't right as my hair wasn't up as neatly as I had always done it.

"I'm sorry Genji I was a little worn out from the long mission I had to go on last night, I'm very tired that's all" I smiled hoping he wouldn't worry as well.

"Ok if you say so" he said with a trusting voice. I felt a little relieved as at least Genji wouldn't be worrying about me all day. I'm sure it's nothing. It will go away soon..

The following morning was the same, up late and feeling like hell. Genji worried about me again but I insisted that it was nothing.

Jack had confronted me a second time to ask how I was doing and all I could do was lie, I said I was fine but really my head felt like it was running through a blender and my body felt like it was melting into ash.

I woke up one morning to the sounds of me choking on my own blood. I rushed out of bed and straight to the bathroom. What was going on? I had to tell someone!

I found myself falling quickly to the ground. My body fainting like a rag doll across the tiled floor. I tried my best to get back on my feet but my arms and legs felt too weak.

Usually my body was able to regenerate itself fast enough for me to not get sick. But something felt wrong, I never got sick, never! Suddenly I felt my brain buzz into a inferno of fire. Before I fainted instantly....
