Joshua felt like a fish out of water in the middle of the Victoria's Secret models. He tried to act interested, but he couldn't even kid himself. He had no interests whatsoever with the real-life angels here. His friends were practically almost drooling every time a half-naked lady walked past them. Joshua tugged the end of his sleeve to reveal his favorite wristwatch. An hour more then he could escape this waste of time. A trusted friend said that he should dated one of this models, because that a handsome billionaire would do. Got himself an arm candy and a Maserati. To be honest, Joshua couldn't stand a beautiful girl who only cared about looks and couldn't keep up with his interests and topics.

Joshua was standing at the corner of the room, watching the chaotic mess around him unfolding. He leaned against the wall with his arms crossed on his chest. Then a middle-aged lady approached him with a satisfied smile on her face. Behind her was a beautiful, tall girl with a blonde hair and a shy smile. Josh straightened himself out of politeness.

"Hi, Mr. Kushner," the lady greeted him.

Josh nodded politely to the lady and the girl behind her. She nodded back, waiting behind the lady, who possibly was her manager or something. Josh waited for the lady to talk about whatever caused her to disturb him.

"I understand that you are, ah," the lady smiled knowingly, "looking for a companion."

Josh held back an eye roll and kept a straight face. He only nodded again.

The lady looked at the girl and motioned at her to step forward. She laid a hand on the girl's shoulder and smiled widely like a proud mama. The girl's cheek blushed visibly. Josh noted that this girl was one of the Victoria's Secret model, yet she was so different from the others. There was her underlined shyness, which was balanced by the bright spark from her eyes. Josh eyed the girl with a newfound interest. Maybe this girl could be different.

"This is Karlie," the lady introduced the girl. "And maybe you two could help each other about it."

"Hello," Josh greeted the girl directly.

"Hi," Karlie smiled warmly.

"Let me leave you two alone while you know each other better."

Then the lady left, leaving Josh and Karlie in each other's company. Karlie shifted her eyes onto the floor while Josh searched his brain for any kind of topics.

"So," Josh dragged his word, "I take it you're a model?"

"Yes. I walked for two sections today," Karlie answered politely.

"That's great," Josh nodded his admiration. "I think I've seen you in several big campaigns."

"It's possible," Karlie supplied with modesty. "I'm presenting several brands now."

"Good for you. Have you always want to be a model?"

Karlie's eyebrows scrunched adorably while she thought about his question. "Not really. I was sort of fell into the modeling world. I'd really like to do something else after I've settled in this job."

"Yeah?" Josh was intrigued. "Like what?"

"Uh, I don't know," Karlie laughed while rolled her shoulders. "Continue my education for a start. Then I've always liked to learn about the development of the technology and I think that's where we all should be focused on now."

"I completely agree with you, Karlie." Josh smiled his approval. Finally, Josh thought, a beautiful girl with a big ambition and a good head to match.
