Ashton came and got me a while later and he took me to a really fancy restaurant. Afterwards he took me for ice cream. But for some reason he was kinda distant. Every time I would ask him something he would give me simple answers or just shrug his shoulders. It was like he was in deep thought and didn't want to be disrupted. So after a while I just gave up and we walked around in silence.
"OK Ashton what the hell is going on? Why are you being so quiet?" I finally asked.
"I have cancer......" He mumbled so quietly that I almost didn't hear him.
"You what?" I asked.
"I have cancer Maddy. Its not good either, they can't cure it I have anywhere from 3 months to a year to live." He said tears coming to his eyes.
"How long have you known?" I said tears coming out of my eyes and running down my face.
"About 2 months." He said as I backed away from him.
"You've know about this for 2 fucking months and you didn't even bother telling me!" I yelled wiping my eyes as fresh tears filled them.
"Yes." He said taking a step towards me.
"Who else knows?" I asked.
"My family, and the guys." He said.
"OK, so your telling me that you told the guys but you didn't even tell your own fucking girlfriend. At least now I know where I fit in on how important I am to you," I said turning around and walking away from him.
A week later:
We are back from Spain and I have tried my hardest to avoid Ashton, but it is not working. I can't believe that he kept something like this from me. Ugh I don't know what I am going to do. I really love him and don't want anything to happen but I guess I'm going to have to make this last little while count. "Ashton can I talk to you?" I asked him one afternoon while everyone was hanging out in Holden's basement. "Sure" he said getting off the couch and following me upstairs. "I'm sorry." I said putting my lips to his. "It's ok." He said kissing me again. "I'm just glad to have my baby back." He said kissing me harder. He pushed me back into the guest room wall and I lifted my legs up around his waist. He carried me over to the bed and pushed me into it. He pulled my shirt over my head and kissed my neck. I moaned as I moved my hands all over his body. Some we were both undressed and having fun, that is until one of the boys walked in on us. "Oh my god, my eyes. I can never un see that." Reece said running out of the room. "Shit." Ashton said getting off of me and putting clothes on and I did the same. Well this isn't going to end well.
"Hey guys," I said walking down the stairs, Ashton following to the side of me. I looked at them all and they just glanced then turned back to what ever they were doing. Oh thank god Reece didn't say anything to holden. "Guess our little secret is safe." Ashton said kissing my neck. Making me bite my lip to keep from moaning. "I love you." I whispered. "I love you more." He whispered. "Get a room you two." Blake said. "Where do you think they just were." Reece said. Holden gave us a sharp glare but then turned back to the TV. "Is it bad that he scares the shit out of me when he looks at me like that?" Ashton whispered into my ear biting the skin right below it. "No, cause he scares me too." I whispered back. "Good." He said dragging me over to one of the couches and pulling me onto his lap.
"We should go do something tonight." I said to everyone. "Like what?" Benny asked. "Ice skating." I said. "Sure" they all said. But Ashton looked hesitant. "Its ok baby I will hold your hand the whole time." I said to him getting up of his lap. "Ash can you take me home so I can get ready?" I asked. "Yeah princess let's go." He said and to,d the guys we'd meet them at the gas station up the street in a half hour.
