"So Dyl, how did you become part of P4E?" K asked attempting to start a conversation with Dyl.
"Well like you guys, me and my crew were friends. We all went to high school together and soon a bunch of us moved down to Santa Clara. We all dropped out of high school and formed the group call P4E." Dyl quickly responded.
"What entirely does P4E mean?" A asked.
"It means period 4 English. That was how we all met. We had English fourth period and called our group based on that." Dyl explained.
"Ok so you said you moved to Santa Clara, but where did you live before you moved there?" K asked walking across the street.
"Lived in a small town about an hour drive east of San Francisco."
"What was the name of the town?" K asked.
"Uh, Clayton I think." Dyl said trying his best to remember.
'Maybe that's why he seemed so familiar. Maybe I went to high school with him before.' K thought.
"Do you remember what the high school was called?" A asked.
"Uh, all I remember about that school was that we all hated it and the acronym for it began C. I don't remember the rest of it." Dyl responded.
They continued to walk until they reached the right street.
"K, isn't this the coffee place we're suppose to turn past?" A questioned.
"Yea that's the place." K stated.
"I'm going to run ahead and see if they are there." A said, before running ahead.
Before Dyl and K could say anything, A sprinted down the street, leaving Dyl and K alone.
"You have the strangest group of friends." Dyl said looking at K.
"Yes, yes I do. But you've only met one of them. There's still 3 more to go. And I don't know, they make up for it in the end." K said.
"I guess it's nice to have them." Dyl stated looking down at the ground.
"Dyl, what's the real reason you left you group?" K asked after noticing his reaction to her friends.
"Well, it's a long story." Dyl responded.
"I got time. We have to reach the bay bridge which is about 2 miles from here. That's gonna take a while, especially considering we're walking there. Tell me." K explained.
"Well, they weren't exactly the best group of friends you could ask for." Dyl started.
"What do you mean by that?" K asked curiously.
"They just...judged me, told me who to be and what to do. It started to drive me insane and I started thinking a lot more. I thought that I knew nothing about you or your group. I was just told by them that you guys were the enemy. I wanted to meet you all myself and see how you all are. But they said you knew how me and Ted look like. So I knew I couldn't meet you myself anymore. And when I found out they wanted to destroy your base with you guys in it, I left to try and warn you guys. " Dyl finished, looking down at the ground and back at K's nearly pitch black eyes. Embarrassed by what he just told K, he quickly covered his mouth. He had realized what he just told K. K just looked him in the eye, waiting for him to not be so embarrassed. K had shock and sympathy practically glowing in her pitch black eyes.
"I shouldn't have told you. I regret saying anything. Please don't tell anyone about this. I don't want everyone knowing about this. Wait, are your eyes naturally pitch black?" Dyl said finally looking K in the eye.
"I won't tell anyone, I promise. And they aren't naturally pitch black, but it's possible for them to become pitch black." K stated.
"Why are they then?" Dyl asked.
"They very rarely turn pitch black, but when they do it's because I'm worried about something or someone." K said.
Dyl backed up and looked at K.
"You...actually care about me?" Dyl could barely get out as K nods her head.
There was then a silence as they continued to walk. Dyl and K finally reached the Golden Gate Bridge and saw A, May and T. K grabbed Dyl's hand and ran towards her friends.
