The teenagers woke up and were startled by the new surroundings. None of them were quite familiar to the new base.
A and May woke up, but fell back asleep moments later. T got up and went for a walk. Dyl got up and went to sit on the windowsill that they made a ladder to. K woke up and saw Dyl looking out the window. K got up and walked towards Dyl. He seemed like he was thinking about something. K went to tap him on the shoulder, but he pulled back frightened.
"Sorry. Didn't mean to scare you." K whispered.
"It's fine, I'm just thinking bout some stuff." Dyl sighed looking out the window.
"Whatcha thinking about?" K uttered leaning forward, turning her body towards him.
"Just my old group I guess." Dyl stated.
"What about them?" K questioned.
"Just what would happen if they found out I was helping you guys." Dyl sighed.
"Well if we're being honest here, don't tell T this, but me and the others are pretty sure his half brother, who we all thought died, is working with our rivals." K whispered.
"With your rivals? And how did you guys think of that?" Dyl exclaimed sill trying to keep quiet.
"Well we have someone that used to be on our rival team, that now helps us. She said something about the leader having the same first name as T's half brother." K replied.
There was then an awkward silence.
"Do you, you know, miss your old crew?" K asked turning her head to face Dyl.
"I mean, those guys had stuck with me for many years. But I just haven't felt the same since I left for Santa Clara." Dyl sighed.
"How so?" K questioned.
"Well back in high school, there was this girl I liked, but she could never like me." Dyl explained.
"Oh, and she never left your mind?" K stated.
"Never has." Dyl said looking down.
"I'm sorry Dyl." K uttered placing her hand on his shoulder to comfort him.
"It doesn't help that you look almost exactly like her." Dyl mumbled.
"What?" K asked confused.
"You look almost exactly identical to her, and even your personality is pretty similar as well." Dyl sighed.
"Oh, you do remind me of someone I knew from school that I did like. But I'm wondering if it's just a coincidence." K stated.
"I don't know. Maybe." Dyl said.
A and May woke up.
"Good morning A. Good Morning May." K stated.
"Mornin K." A replied.
"Come on, lets go. We can continue this conversation later today." K stated standing up holding her hand out for him to grab it.
"Yea later." Dyl said taking her hand and getting up.
