T stood there in awe, constantly looking between the two groups. He didn't know what to do. He didn't know who to choose.
The two groups waited for his response. Both groups at the edge of their seat waiting for his decision.
T, in a state of panic, sprinted out of the building. Disappearing into the night, K and Dyl attempted to run after him. Dyl was able to catch T before he got far. Dyl had T sit down and try to calm down. K caught up with them not long after Dyl had caught T.
K reached T and Dyl and she could tell T was panicking. His breathing was short and fast. He had beads of sweat running down the side of his face, reflecting in the moonlight. She sat down next to T and felt his heart beating like there was no tomorrow. He put his head in his hands and tried to catch his breath, but clearly was failing.
"T, calm down. Your heart is going crazy and your breathing isn't great either. Just breathe in through your nose, out through your mouth. It's alright." K reassured T while running circles in his back in attempt to calm him down.
"Yea man, calm down a little. You'll be alright." Dyl added catching his breath as well.
"S-s-sorry. I... I j-just don't know w-what to d-do." T studdered trying to talk while also trying to calm down.
"Don't talk right now T. Just focus on catching your breath and calming down. Just know we will respect your decision whichever way you go." K replied carefully watching her friend.
After about ten minutes, T was finally calmed down. He had caught his breath and his heartbeat was back to normal.
"I think I know my decision." T stated standing up.
"Alright then. Let's start heading back." Dyl uttered walling with K and T back to the building.
They reached the building to see May, A and Kat waiting outside the building for them. All three of them ran towards Dyl, K and T when they saw them approach the building.
"T, are you alright? You ran out of the building out of panic." May sighed.
"Yea, I'm alright May. I think I made my decision." T exclaimed.
"Let's go inside so everyone can hear my decision." T uttered.
The six went inside and saw the four sitting in their chairs like before.
"So T, have you thought about joining us?" P exclaimed.
"I have. And I've made my decision." T stated.
"And what did you decide?" M called standing next to P.
"I've decided to........stay with my team." T replied.
"Why? Why stay with them when they kept a secret from you?" P yelled out.
"Well they've always been there for me. When I was hurt by M, N and H, May and A took me back to our base and helped me back to my feet while K and Kat made sure that I didn't get any worse and offered us an escape. Plus when I ran out a little while back, not one member from your team came after me. K and Dyl came after me before I could get far. They wanted to make sure that I was ok. They calmed me down and respected my choice even if that meant I would join your team and leave theirs. And that's when I knew that leaving this team would be the biggest mistake of my life." T explained.
The six of them ran out and sprinted back to their base. They all laughed and collapsed on the floor.
"I'm so happy you're staying with us." May chuckled.
"Yea, I'm glad I'm staying." T sighed.
"Sorry we never said anything about P. We just did it for your protection. We didn't want you constantly running around trying to find him. Plus we knew you'd be upset hearing that we'll have to fight your half brother." A uttered.
"It's alright. If he has the guts to fake his death and never tell me, then he's no half brother of mine." T exclaimed.
"Well I better get going. I have some work to do tomorrow." Kat stated getting up from the floor.
"Well it was nice seeing you again Kat. Thank you for helping us find T. Hopefully, you can help us some more in the future." K sighed getting up to give Kat a hug.
"Absolutely. I would love to help you guys. I can't promise I'll help all the time but I'll be here every once and a while." Kat reassured.
Kat started walking towards the door with T. They got to the door and said their final goodbyes.
"Thank you Kat. For helping them find me." T uttered looking back towards the crew sitting on the floor.
"Anything to help this group T. I'm not a permanent member anymore, but this was a big part of my life and I love to help these guys whenever I can." Kat exclaimed.
T gave Kat a hug as she walked away into the night. Kat waved goodbye and T waved back. He closed and locked the door to their base and went back to his crew sitting on the floor. On his way back to the crew, he stuck his hand in the pocket of his pants. He felt a piece of paper and pulled it out. He unfolded the paper.
It read, "If you ever need me, this is my address. -Kat"
T looked underneath the note and saw and address. He placed the piece of paper in the pocket of his jacket and noticed the entire crew was asleep on the floor. He laughed to himself and lied down on the floor himself.
He stared at the ceiling for a while, thinking about how far this group had come and how far this group will go. He knew he made the right decision at the end of the day. He just had to wait and see what the future held for him and the Corner Squad.
