"Well that was a good mission. But I'm tired now." A sighed lying down on the floor.
"Well she's asleep." K chuckled.
"And so is everyone else." Dyl stated looking around. And he was right. T and May had fallen asleep too.
"Well how about that conversation we would get back to? Or are you tired as well?" K asked looking back towards Dyl.
"I suppose I can stay up." Dyl exclaimed walking up to the windowsill with K following behind.
"So what were we talking about last? Was it school?" K questioned.
"Yea I think so." Dyl stated.
"Well what about it?" K replied.
"What do you mean?" Dyl asked looking over at K.
"Well you've told me somewhat about your past, is there anything you want to know about mine?" K responded.
"Uh, you can just explain how you met these guys." Dyl mumbled pointing over his shoulder to May, T and A who were asleep on the ground.
"Well much like you and your old crew, we knew each other from school. We were all in a class together. Except we're missing an old member who left the group to go out on her own. If need be, she'll be there to help. But otherwise she's out living a normal life in San Francisco. Her name's Kat. We all miss her, but she'll find us eventually." K said staring out the window.
"So she just left?" Dyl asked.
"In a way, yes. But she did tell us she was going out on her own. But none of us got to say goodbye to her." K stated.
"Is that what you, T and A were talking about when I first showed up with you and A?" Dyl questioned.
"Yea, T was threatening to drop me from the team because I had let you join us without consulting him. He's like the leader almost. Yet he's lost in his own thoughts and emotions." K sighed.
"I didn't mean to cause trouble between your group." Dyl stated looking down at the ground.
"Oh no no. It's fine. I mean all groups have those days where they just constantly fight. It's alright." K exclaimed rubbing circles on Dyl's back.
"You sure? Because I can leave if you want me to." Dyl uttered.
"It's alright, stay. I don't want you out there alone." K stated.
"Alright." Dyl sighed.
There was silence for a little. K stared at Dyl and smiled. Dyl returned the gesture. Finally, K broke the silence.
"You should get some sleep. You did a lot today." K stated getting up.
"I'll be fine. You go to sleep." Dyl exclaimed.
"I'll go to bed if you do." K replied.
"Fine. We have a long day ahead of us anyways." Dyl sighed.
They get down from the windowsill and Dyl lies down on the ground. K grabs one of the blankets and lays on the floor with her hands behind her head, using them as a pillow.
"Night K." Dyl uttered.
"Night Dyl." K responded but by the time she did, he was fast asleep.
K was up a little longer just staring at the ceiling thinking of the boy from her class she used to like. She was taken out of her thoughts when A shifted around making quite a bit of noise. She sat up and looked around. She notices Dyl shivering on the floor. K then takes her blanket and gets up to give it to Dyl. She goes on to her knees next to him and covers Dyl. His body shifts around so she pauses for a second. He finally stays still, so she continues to cover him with the blanket until almost his entire body is covered with the blanket. She moves a strand of hair out of her face and gets back to lie down where she was and soon after she falls asleep.
