Leaving my home

Percy's POV

While everyone was sleeping I was packing and calling in favors. I packed a few extra orange and purple t-shirts, around 10 drachmas just in case, a couple mortal bucks, and of course riptide and my necklace along with the watch Tyson improved for me. All this I put into a medium-sized brown backpack. After I finished packing I started to write the notes and prepare the gifts. I knew the Hunters would be there tomorrow because Thalia had IMed me earlier. She,Nico, or Grover would probably find the note and cabin empty. Since Nico is usually in the Underworld and Grover is busy with the nature stuff, Thalia will probably find it first.               
                When everything was ready I snuck out to the stables to talk with one of my real good friends. He would be the only one to know what I'm doing tonight before the morning. I reached the stables and went straight to his stall,before I heard someone say "Perseus! Perseus Jackson?! It's really you!!! OMG!". I turned around with my right arm grasping riptide to see a young daughter of Iris. She was around 5"ft and had long straight brown hair. I knew her because she taught her once or twice and I might've stopped by. She was quite energetic and eager, if not for her ever changing eyes and a little overdone makeup I'd say she was a daughter of Athena.    
              All this passed through my head in a few seconds before I replied " Yeah, hey umm, Serimae, right? I was just visiting a friend, you know, you really shouldn't be out at this time of night. If you get caught you'll be punished.".

She just looked at me with a thoughtful gaze before she realized she was staring.
She shook out of her trance and answered" It's Searimae actually,but pretty close. I'm actually on a dare from one of my Aphrodite friends. I was sent to try and sneak a Pegasus out to get a snack then come back without being caught."

She says excitedly,but also worried as if she was afraid I would tell on her.
"Hey,look why don't I help you with your dare,I was visiting a friend here that could help. And don't worry about being caught,if anyone asks-you were doing me a favor and helping Blackjack get exercise." I answer secretly smiling at myself.
Everyone knows Blackhack has a serious addiction problem to donuts,so it's a reasonable favor.
"You'd really help me?" She asks tentatively as if she was afraid it was just a cruel joke, as if she thought I would shoot her down and be like 'JK I'm telling on you!!'.
"Yeah I'd help you,but you have to promise to not tell anyone anything u hear me telling Blackjack,ok?" I can't have her spilling my secret before I can get far enough away,that they won't dare send search parties after me.
It wouldn't be till later that I realize my mistake in telling her to tell them I told her.(sry if that was confusing🙃)
"SURE" She replies super excited and anxious now.
It feels good to make someone else happy,and I can't help but smile with her. For the first time in awhile I feel truly happy,but no it won't last,it never does. It doesnt last because the fates won't and don't allow it. It won't last because theres always something else to worry about. Anyways I realize we were standing in awkward silence and motion for her to follow me to Blackjack's stable. Once she sees him she gets really excited again.
'Hey boss' I hear the very familiar voice of my winged friend in my head.
"Hey Blackjack" I respond out loud.
At first Searimae looks confused then realizes who I'm talking to.
"I need u to do me a little favor and take my friend here out to get a snack,and get her back into camp without being caught and before sunrise." I tell him
and he responds 'Sure as long as I can get some donuts'.
"You are the unhealthiest Pegasus I've ever met,but yes I'll make sure you get some donuts." I tell him knowing that the little girl standing next to me can hear what I'm saying.

As I ask her to get some stuff I tell Blackjack"Hey buddy, I'm gonna leave camp for a bit, I just wanted to say goodbye because I don't know how long I'll be gone. I'm gonna miss you,and I promise I'll get someone to look after you." I look down as I say the last part because I know it sounds like I'm gonna be gone for awhile.
'But boss,you can't leave this is your home with friends and teachers and students,and I'm your pegasus' he whinnies at me in despair when he sees that nothing he says will change my mind about leaving Camp.
By the time we're done arguing back and forth she came back with everything I've asked. I start helping her saddle Blackjack all the while ignoring all his protests going through my head.
As soon as Searimae was on Blackjacl and bout to leave she unexpectedly told me something"The camps really gonna miss you,I hope you'll come back some time,it doesn't have to be soon. Just come back,please." She told me almost begging me to tell her what she wants to hear.
"I'll come back,not soon, but I'll come back. I promise. I just need time to myself."
She looks at me with eyes of someone who just won an argument they didn't think they could. Then Blackjack takes off into the night sky and I make my way to Halfblood Hill stopping at Thalia's pine tree,the golden fleece, and Peleus the guardian. I say my goodbyes then leave camp for an unknown amount of time,but I remember my promise and hopefully always will to that hopeful little girl.

So that's it for this one,sorry about not writing but I hit an author's block,Writers  block, whatever.
