Third person's pov:

Four months later
Allison- one month until due date
Lydia- five months pregnant

It seemed as though these babies' due dates were coming towards the friends at full speed. Scott and Allison had their son's entire nursery set up, leaving Stiles to sleep on the pull out couch in the living room. Stiles had got a part-time job at the local grocery store to make ends meet until he hopefully won Lydia back, and life went back to normal. He and the strawberry blonde were continuing to grow closer every day, and Stiles was convinced that this was how it should have gone from the start, rather than rushing into a relationship.
He wouldn't deny that it was getting tiresome, though. He dropped hints daily, but Lydia just wasn't catching on. He understood completely, she was a busy soon-to-be single mother, but he just wanted to hold her in his arms and never let go.
One rainy Tuesday evening, Scott, Allison, and Lydia were spread across the main floor. Lydia and Allison in the kitchen searching for odd snacks to cure their pregnancy cravings, and Scott playing video games in the living room. He insisted on getting his last bit of childhood before the baby came.
Stiles had gone to a bar after dinner with a friend, who had happened to be visiting close by and invited him out to catch up.
"Oh my gosh, yes!" Allison exclaimed, digging through the fridge to collect the half-empty jar of smooth peanut butter.
"What are you doing?" Lydia asked as the brunette plopped a spoonful of savoury spread onto a pickle spear.
"It's amazing!" She smirked after taking a bite, leaving a disgusted look on Lydia's face.
"I can't watch this, I'm actually gonna throw up at the smell." Oh, the joys of pregnancy.
"Whatever, you're missing out!" She called out as Lydia sauntered into the living room, where she turned on the gas fire place and cozied up under a soft blanket.
She read her romance novel for about an hour, until Scott and Allison announced that they were going to sleep.
"Night, Lyds." They smiled in unison.
"Night, weirdos. Sleep well." She replied, marking her page with a bookmark.
Soon, she decided to turn on a movie. After ages of going back and fourth on Netflix, she decided on Clueless- a classic from her teenage years, when her and Allison would stay up late having movie marathons.
About half-way through the movie, she heard the front door fly open and shut.
"Stiles?" She asked, taking a handful of popcorn into her mouth. A couple moments with no answer went by, which was odd.
She got up from the sofa, and heard what sounded like moans from around the corner. She peeked over her shoulder to find Stiles making out with a fiery red-head, their bodies pressed against the wall. The sight caused Lydia to flinch, feeling as though her heart had just been torn out and tossed onto the floor. She really thought they had made progress over the past few weeks, and although that scared her, she was becoming optimistic at their chances of making it work. Now, all of that went flying out the window. She knew it was wrong, seeing that he wasn't her boyfriend, but she had just come to terms with the fact that she was indeed in love with him. She was planning on telling him once the baby came, to see if they bonded and how he reacted to a child in the picture. With anger, she stepped into the hallway in full-sight. She purposely cleared her throat and stood with her arms crossed over her chest.
He quickly noticed her, his eyes widening in panic. The girl he'd met at the bar, Margot, backed away, obviously confused.
"And who are you?" She scoffed.
"Hm, I'll leave that definition up to Stiles- or should I say asshole?" Lydia growled, pushing by them to slip a pair of flip flops on and grab her keys. She stormed out, instantly feeling the chill of the night air.
As she stepped into the car, Stiles appeared on the front step.
"Lydia!" He yelled. "I'm sorry, please just come back inside!"
Flipping him off, she backed out of the driveway, and began driving down the dark streets. She wasn't sure where she was going, but it would be far from here.

She drove aimlessly for about 45 minutes before returning home. She entered the house to find Stiles sitting at the dining table, regretting every choice he'd made that day.
"Lydia! I'm sorry, you shouldn't have seen that, I thought you'd be asleep-"
"Oh, so that makes it okay?" She yelled, tossing her keys onto the table in rage.
"No, I got really drunk and made a stupid choice, as always. You know me!"
"No, maybe I don't know you. The Stiles I know would never put me in that position, he would never do that to me after everything we've been through!"
"Hey, I feel bad, but let's not forget that you're the one that broke up with me! I never asked for this, I just wanted you. Forgive me for trying to move on because I know that's what you want!"
"That's what I thought I wanted, Stiles. You never bothered to ask again after these past few months."
"I'm not some sad puppy dog who needs to be pathetic and ask you every week what you want! Listen to yourself. You're a grown woman, you can tell me how you're feeling without being asked!"
She stepped back in shock. She saw both sides of the argument. On one hand, he was right. She should have told him sooner, he deserved to know, but she wasn't ready. She thought he, of all people would understand that.
"Screw you, Stiles." She whispered, tears stinging her eyes as she stomped upstairs.
As she walked through the hallway, wishing this whole night could be undone, she heard a voice from Scott and Allison's bedroom.
"Lyds." Allison spoke, standing at the door, wrapped in a blanket.
Lydia couldn't hold it in any longer, she broke down. Allison pulled her best friend into a hug, rocking her back and fourth.
"H-how much did you hear?" Lydia sobbed, clinging onto Allison.
"Pretty much all of it."
Soon, Scott appeared and wrapped his arms around both of them.
And suddenly, Lydia didn't feel so alone. Although she felt a huge piece of her heart missing, which belonged to Stiles, she felt filled with love. She would never deny that she had the best friends in the whole world.

Author's note:

I hope you guys understand that this doesn't make Stiles a bad person, he had no clue that Lydia still felt things for him. He was just trying to respect her wishes of moving on, if I didn't make that clear enough.
