*EVA'S POV*

after about a billion years, the stop light finally turns green and i press down on the pedal.
i had to get home soon or else my mom would start to worry, and i had to get started on my 2 projects that were due tomorrow.

since i was coming back from zoey's house it was a loner drive than usual but i enjoyed taking in the sights around me because i usually don't come to this part of town often, since zoey usually just comes to my house.

i put on some music to fill my silent car.

country music.

gospel music.
ads.

i swear music is never playing on the stations when i want to hear it.

*buzz buzz*

i looked down at my phone
it was a message from mom.
ugh she was already worrying about me.

i pick up my phone to see what she wanted and take my hands off the wheels for a split second. a split second.

a car rams into my side.

my head jolts forward and slams into the steering wheel.

the car door caves in.

my seat belt tightens around my body.

the car flips.

the windshield shatters into a million pieces.

the car flips again.

my head is pounding.

the car door is pinning my side.

i can't feel my foot.

the car flips one last time.

everything stops.

i stay there in my seat unable to move.

to my left, i see feet running towards me.

i hear distant sirens.

nothing is visible.

it's all a big blur.

everything goes black.

*buzz buzz*

(2 UNREAD MESSAGES FROM MOM)

MOM: hey honey, just wanted to make sure you're on your way home. <3

MOM: what time will you be home?

*buzz buzz*

(4 UNREAD MESSAGES FROM MOM)

MOM: helloooo?

MOM: are you ok? why aren't u answering?

MOM: please say something... i'm getting worried about you....

MOM: i love you.
