Chapter 14.

I threw on my light washed jeans and the floral patterned shirt that I had threw in the closet last night. I slipped on my boots and grabbed my phone off of the corner of the bed. I went into the bathroom and brushed my hair out. I didn't have any hair products here, so my hairs natural wave came out as the bristles ran through it.

I rushed downstairs and into the living room where Jason waited for me. He glanced over at me and stood up from the couch, jamming his phone into his jeans pocket. He ran his hand through his hair and inhaled deeply.

"Lets go." He walked by me quickly, his shoulder slightly bumping me as he passed.

I followed him out the door and to his car. I got in and buckled my seat belt out of habit. Jason backed out of the driveway, his arm extended to the back of my seat. He put the car in drive and took off a little too briskly, causing me to bump my head on the head of the seat.

I looked at the time on the radio. 7:46pm. Maybe Jason really was going to kill me. Alex said to bring me to wherever he was by 8:00.

I swallowed, taking a glimpse of Jason. His broad jawline clenched tightly and his eyes fixed on the road. I turned away, gazing out of the window at all of the palm trees we were passing.

Shortly after, Jason pulled up in front of a dirty brown warehouse. There were no lights outside of it, so I couldn't see much of anything.

Jason got out of the car, making his way around to my side. He opened the door and grabbed my arm roughly for the first time in 3 days, leading me inside of the warehouse. It smelled like an old basement and mildew. It wasn't that bright inside, but the lights weren't dim either. The floors creaked in certain places when you walked on it.

We stopped in front of double doors and Jason banged on them with a closed fist, moving his hand down to my wrist. A tall guy opened the door and I recognized him as soon as we went under the light. He was one of the guys who was helping Alex try to catch me during Jason's little "game."

I glared up at him for a little less than a minute when a loud voice came from across the room.

It was Alex.

Jason tightened his grip on my wrist. I tried to loosen it but didn't make any progress.

"Jason," Alex smiled, "I didn't really think you'd come through. I thought I would have to do it myself." He closed his hands together and stared at me, a look of bother.

I avoided his eye contact and stared at the ground. Jason let go of my wrist and pushed me forward, causing me to stumble a little but. I looked back at him, and then at Alex in fear. He walked towards me, holding out his hand for me to grab.

"Come on Parker." He wiggled his fingers, gesturing for me to take hold.

I stared at him for a long time before Jason stepped in. He grabbed my hand and pulled me along with him and Alex.

We went into another room in the back of the warehouse. The lights were dim and the room was empty except for the smell.

Alex turned around to face me, smirking. Jason shifted uncomfortably and looked down at me, his eyes fixed and intense. I tried to peel Jason's fingers off from around my wrist but he wouldn't let go.

"Why am I here?" I asked cautiously, not wanting to trigger anything.

Just then, the door opened again, and Damien walked in with an older man. He looked to be in his older thirties, his black hair had little patches of grey, showing the coming of age.
