ZOE WAS EMBRACED WITH A LOVING HUG BY MRS WEASLEY after she stepped out of the fireplace. It was customary at the Burrow.

"My, dear! It is so lovely to see you!"

"Likewise, Mrs Weasley."

"I was just making breakfast, I'll set you a plate." the woman said kindly. "I'm afraid Fred and George haven't waken up yet, you know how deep sleepers they are."

"No problem." Zoe grinned. "I'll wake them up."

The girl entered the two boys' shared bedroom, holding a pair of chickens which she had caught from the front yard of the Burrow in the crooks of her both arms. Her fists were filled with seeds, which had brought the two chickens to peck her knuckles the way from the yard into the bedroom.

"Ouch! Calm down, you bloody pigeons." Zoe murmured with irritation.

She placed one of the chickens on George's bed where he was peacefully sleeping, sprinkling the seeds onto the sleeping figure, mostly on his face. Before she did the exact same thing with Fred.

Zoe stood back and watched the scene unfold.

The boys were stifling from their sleep slowly, starting to move more and scratching themselves where the chickens had just pecked them. Fred was the first one to open his eyes, and he let out a scream.

Zoe burst out with laughter.

All the noise made George wake up, bringing him to swear as he was startled, "Bloody hell!"

After the three got the chickens out of the twins' room into Percy's which was on the same floor and all the hassle was over, they went down the flight of stairs for breakfast.

"I heard you yell, everything alright?" Mrs Weasley asked, putting a plate of sausages in front of the three.

"Yeah." Fred said, seizing a fork. "Zoe just isn't one for being normal."

The girl smiled and pulled another feather out of George's hair.

"Where have you been, Zoe?" George asked, mouth full of sausages.

"I thought you were going to come here the first day of summer - that was a week ago." Fred continued.

"I know... Um, my mother got hospitalized." Zoe said with a tired sigh. "She's in St Mungos now... I don't know what illness she has exactly, just that it doesn't have cure... We had to move the rest of my things to my aunt and uncle's house and do some paperwork at the Ministry. Mother doesn't want me to see her in that condition, so I guess, it was the last – er – last time I ever saw her."

Mrs Weasley rushed to hug the girl tightly, seeming to be in the verge of tears. Zoe was definitely surprised by this act.

"Mum, you're going to suffocate her." Fred said.

"Oh, yes. I'm sorry." Mrs Weasley said, drawing herself back from the hug. She wiped her tears and looked Zoe deep into the eyes. "How horrible, dear. You're always welcome to stay here if you need a place to stay."

"Thank you, Mrs Weasley." Zoe said sincerely, smiling with her lips pressed together in a slightly awkward manner. The girl wasn't used to being showered with so much affection.

"Mum, why won't you go wake up the rest?" George suggested.

Mrs Weasley disappeared to the staircase.

"Are you serious?" Fred asked, turning to look at Zoe.

"Usually I try my hardest to not to be, but this time yes."
