BLAISE ROLLED OVER TO HIS SIDE and pulled back the emerald green silk curtains of his four-poster-bed. Blaise threw his legs over the bed and stood up. His bare feet hit the cool, stone floor of the dormitory. It was always dim and chilly in the dormitory, but there was still difference when it was day and night. During day, the sun light would shine through the water of the Black Lake and create reflections that shone from the windows of the Slytherin common room.

Blaise glanced around the dormitory. His new, fine tuxedo for the Ball was levitating neatly above his trunk and the rest of his dormmates were still sleeping. The suit had been custom made for him of the finest materials in Italy.

The Ball was hosted for the winner of the Triwizard Tournament, who would be announced in the morning Daily Prophet as the final task had taken place in the previous evening. The Ball had been announced a couple weeks before which brought a lot of excitement among the Hogwarts student body. It made hade group of girls rather giggly in the halls whenever Blaise passed them as they were looking forward to being asked to be dates for the Ball. Blaise would purposely not even glance in their direction. He wasn't interested in anyone except one girl.

As the Ball neared everyone seemed to be excited for the prospects of the evening: sneaking in alcohol and indulging it, doing ambitious things with your date and possibly having the internationally famous Viktor Krum come to their school if he were to win the tournament.

Blaise showered himself and by the time he was done, Draco and Theo had both awoken. The three boys set off towards breakfast.

"Are we going to have the breakfast in the Hall?" Theo wondered, thinking out loud. "I mean, aren't the Ball decorations up there?"

"Because the weather has been so good lately, I heard we're having breakfast and lunch today outside." Draco explained, stretching his arms.

Draco was not wrong. When the trio climbed the steps up to the Entrance Hall they saw that the Great Hall's oak doors were closed. There was sign on the doors and students were heading outside to the courtyard from the Entrance Hall's open doors that were luring in wafts of the summer air.

Draco, Blaise and Theo followed them. And when they stepped outside to the courtyard, their eyes landed over a sight of the house tables being used as buffet tables and their peers grabbing food for themselves before wandering off to somewhere around the Hogwarts grounds to find a good spot to eat. The mood was very cheerful and it was very contagious. The students were laughing, smiling and talking spiritedly to each other.
