THE EXAM RESULTS CAME OUT on the last day of the term. Zoe had passed every subject, though History of Magic very narrowly. She didn't tell anyone because she didn't want to be teased but she had gotten full marks on Defence Against the Dark Arts, Transfiguration and Astronomy. Her Potions and Charms exams hadn't gone too bad either. Percy got his long desired top-grade N.E.W.T.s.
Fred and George each achieved three O.W.L.s. Fred had got himself Outstanding on Transfiguration and Defence Against the Dark Arts and Exceeds Expectations on Charms. George on the other hand had Outstanding on Charms and Defence Against the Dark Arts, and Exceeds Expectations on Transfiguration.
Zoe knew if the three of them actually cared for their grades, Fred and George would've received much higher marks on their O.W.L.s. If the examiners would had seen the process of Ton-Tongue, Fred and George would have both gotten at least an E on Potions too. Lee received slightly more O.W.L.s than the twins mostly because he had bothered to study thoroughly before the exams. He had received an O.W.L on Charms, Defence Against the Dark Arts, Transfiguration, Herbology, Care of Magical Creatures and Astronomy.
Sirius had been contacting Harry and Zoe via letters. He informed them he and Remus had got a nice house on the countryside. It had been built by workers hired by the Ministry since they wanted to apologize to Sirius for wrongly captivating him for over a decade. Sirius had provided them with the materials as he had expensive taste and was very picky. The house was surrounded by hills and meadows. Apparently the Burrow was in the same area. This brought a lot excitement among the Weasley children, Harry and Zoe. They guessed Mr Weasley had probably been the one to suggest the location to their house. Sirius also let them knew they had improved the house little after the Ministry workers were done: there was an area with sand on the backyard, which was reserved for Quidditch, of course.
The atmosphere in the castle was very cheerful. Everyone was waiting keenly for summer holiday to start.
The Great Hall had been decorated with scarlet and gold when the students entered the end-of-term feast. Gryffindor had won the House Cup, second year running. The Gryffindor table was in high spirits and the noisiest out of the four houses. However all the other houses were celebrating and having a good time as well. Even the Slytherin table cheered up after the moment had passed when Gryffindor had been announced as the winner.
The whole evening was very entertaining and filled with laughter in every table.
Feeling joyous and full, Zoe took herself to see Professor McGongall in her office because the girl wanted to change Divination to Muggle Studies. Her explanation was appropriate. Zoe explained she didn't see eye to eye with Professor Trelawney's teaching methods and McGonagall was supportive about her decision.
Feeling even better, Zoe was swaggering towards the Gryffindor Tower with a smile on her lips when she came across a familiar Slytherin boy on the way.
"Draco." Zoe greeted, smiling.
The blond boy gave a nod. "We haven't had a chance to discuss this past week. I suppose many things have changed."
"It has been wild... I mean I have a father now." Zoe wondered, an amused tone forming her sentences.
"I'm assuming there's a little more to the story than Dumbledore informed us?"
"Not just a little."
"It is odd..." Draco let out a sigh. "I think there was a part of me expecting that you would return to our manor for a few weeks when the Tonks bunch goes for a holiday trip."
