MRS WEASLEY HAD BEEN FURIOUS WHEN SHE FOUND OUT THE NUMBER OF O.W.L.S FRED AND GEORGE HAD RECEIVED. She had told them they would never get a job in the Ministry if they didn't start taking their education more seriously. The response to this had been an honest confession from Fred and George to inform they didn't want to work for the Ministry and they wanted to start a joke product shop. This hadn't been at all what Mrs Weasley wanted to hear. The twins sought refuge at Zoe's for a day. Eventually, Mrs Weasley calmed down enough for them to have a conversation. They made a deal the twins would finish their education and after that they could produce joke products. Obviously, Fred, George and Zoe wouldn't let this deal stop them and they continued on with their plans. The production would just happen at Zoe's.
Remus and Sirius on the other hand had both received jobs at the Ministry. Remus took a job in which he would be fighting for the rights of werewolves as well as other magical creatures. Sirius was fulfilling his and James' lifelong dream to become Aurors finally. The Auror training was normally three-years long. However since Sirius was an extremely skilled wizard, having fought in the Order of the Phoenix and escaped Azkaban, he could complete the training in a year.
Sirius had also received his magical motorbike back from Hagrid which entertained them for days. He had promised Zoe he'd teach her how to ride the motorbike. Zoe spent the first week of summer playing Quidditch with her friends and developing their joke products. She was highly enjoying herself.
On the morning of the house warming party, Zoe laid on her bed. She ran her arms against the black silk. She listened for any sounds which would inform somebody else was awake in the house. She didn't hear anything else than distant, loud and steady breathing which was no doubt coming from Harry's room.
Zoe's stomach let out a nasty growl. She jumped out of her bed and took her rough-looking notebook from her nightstand. It was full of all sorts of ideas and theories for her, Fred and George's new products.
The girl rushed downstairs to find Remus sitting around the kitchen table. He was sipping coffee and reading what appeared to be the Daily Prophet. He had been very quiet, barely making any noise.
"Anything interesting?" Zoe asked with a grin.
"Well not really compared to those." he said with a chuckle, pointing at a basket with old newspapers.
Zoe picked one up and in the front cover was her father and Peter Pettigrew. Under the photographs there was also an explanation which was close to the Dumbledore gave the school. It was about how Sirius' captivity had been all just one big misunderstanding. She grinned to Remus, and dropped the newspaper.
"Would you like to make the breakfast today?" Remus chuckled. His voice was still bit groggy from sleeping.
"Can I use magic?"
"No. Can you cook?"
"I can make cereal."
"I'll take that." he laughed.
Zoe set four bowls onto the table with spoons in them, a milk carton and a cereal box. She sat down opposite Remus, starting to scribble notes to her worn notebook as she read further on the copy of Theories of Transubstantial Transfiguration, while spooning cereal into her mouth without looking. She slouched so close to the bowl her chin almost reached the milk. However Zoe didn't mind as she was so deeply concentrated.
"What are you working on?" Remus wondered curiously. "I found it rather rare to see you reading a book so keenly."
"Research. Top secret."
