ZOE'S NEW DORMMATES WERE girls from the fifth-year. They included her teammate, Katie, and three other fifth-year girls Halley, Maisie and Jamie. Halley seemed to be the mother figure of their dorm. Maisie was the one who seemed to know every rumour going around the castle. Jamie was the confrontational one. The four older girls all turned out to be quite fun and welcoming towards the younger student. They even had a party with just the five of them the first night when Zoe moved in.

Zoe felt slightly bad for leaving Hermione behind at their old dorm with Lavender and Parvati, however Hermione just seemed grateful there would finally be peace in the dorm. Lavender and Parvati seemed to be on a particularly good mood since Zoe moved out.

Because Angelina left for the Triwizard Tournament it meant the Gryffindor Quidditch team got a new captain, Alicia Spinnet. It also meant that a certain, trouble loving girl was told there was a place on the Gryffindor team if she wanted to play that term.

Zoe didn't hesitate to agree to Alicia's request. She was so happy it felt like nothing could bring her down. The whole Gryffindor team was highly motivated and they were getting ready for the upcoming Slytherin match with a great deal of training.

Zoe felt as though she had mastered hiding the Mandrake leaf in her mouth. She could talk if she was aware of how much she opened her mouth. The only thing which raised an issue was eating and drinking, however after a couple of days Zoe got used to the taste of the Mandrake leaf mixing with everything she ate.

Zoe was sitting at the end of the staircase's steps in the Entrance Hall, waiting for Professsor McGonagall to arrive. Her right leg was bouncing due to the boredom of waiting.

She saw a brown owl fly through the outside doors into the Entrance Hall and it flew around in circles above the few students who were there. Zoe gazed back at Meeko who was cozily dozing off on her knee. She petted him.

Zoe let out a yelp as she was suddenly startled by the brown owl who he landed in front of her. He offered her to reach the envelope tied to his leg. Whilst wondering who had sent her the envelope, Zoe took it and the owl set off to his way.

She stared at the envelope in her hands. She recognized the seal: St Mungos. The girl then covered her face with her hands, letting out several grunts of frustration.

"Black, are you ready?" called Professor McGonagall's voice.

Zoe removed her hands, stuffing the envelope into the pocket of her robes. She made sure the Mandrake leaf was hid between her cheek and teeth before she sighed, "Yes."

The woman stopped for a second to examine her. "Is everything alright?" she asked, furrowing her brows.

"Yes." Zoe answered automatically, straightening her robes. "Where will my detention take place?"

"Madam Pince will supervise it, you'll help replacing the rented books back to their original place in the library." McGonagall said.

Zoe laughed however as the Professor kept her face straight, she realised the woman wasn't joking.

"Um, Professor - with all due respect – but are you sure Madam Pince won't have a heart attack?" Zoe said, fiddling with her fingers. "We have a history."

"So, I've heard." McGonagall said, without blinking an eye. "Well, maybe it's time for you to make amends."

As Zoe had guessed, Madam Pince indeed looked uncomfortable and horrified when it was Zoe, who arrived to the library for the detention, giving an awkward wave to the librarian. The woman gave very strict rules how to do everything and followed her around for the first ten minutes like a hawk. Eventually there were some students needing her guidance to locate a book, so she was left with no other options than leaving Zoe alone.
