Trittany: Finding Each Other

Chapter 1 Bad Mood

3 months earlier (February)

Brittany's POV

I finished applying my makeup and grabbed my keys and purse and I just closed my door when I got a text from Joelle.

Joelle: Sorry to cancel on you Britt but I had a last minute errand to run.

I sigh and text her back.

Brittany: No worries, we can go shopping another time.

Joelle replies with a simple emoji and I entered my apartment again. Joelle and I were going shopping for a new outfit for me to wear to the cast party this weekend. I guess I have to go another time this week.

I pulled my phone out again and call Victoria. "Hey Britt." I hear her say. "Hey Vic, Do you want to come over today?" I ask. "Of course! I will be there within an hour." She says and ends the call. I haven't seen Victoria for a while because she has been traveling a lot. I stare at my laptop which is sitting on the kitchen counter. I slide it over toward me and clicked on my mail inbox.

I was going through my emails when I came across one that was addressed to some of the cast. The subject was about the upcoming tour so I decided to check it out.

I click on the email and it has the details when we will start rehearsal for the dances. I scroll down and see all the dances that will be on the tour.

There is 2 group dances, 3 duets, 3 solos and 2 trios. I look harder and see that there's 2 Jiley duets. That must be a mistake. I think. Why two? I'm not complaining or anything, I like dancing with Trevor, I really do, I just don't think we need two Jiley duets.

I pull out my phone and press on his contact information to call him. After a few seconds of ringing I hear his voice. "Yo Britt, How's it going?" He asks.

"Hey Trev, I'm great but I got the email for the upcoming tour and it said that there is two Jiley duets. Why?" I ask curious. "Geez, I thought you liked dancing with me." He says. "No! No, I love dancing with you, I was just curious." I reply. "Nah britt, I was just joking. Family Channel wanted two Jiley duets, a slow one and a fast one. Actually the fans wanted two and I guess Family channel agreed with them since you weren't on the last tour." He explains.

"I didn't do it on purpose, I had to stay home because of a family issue." I defend myself. "I know Britt, I was just explaining. I know you love the fans." He says. "Sorry, I'm not in the best mood today." I reply. "Yea, the rain doesn't help that at all." He jokes. "Very funny." I laugh. There was a few moments of silence before he spoke.
"Do you need someone to hang out with?" He asks. "Umm no, Victoria is coming by later. But umm thanks for the offer." I reply. "Oh ok tell Vic I said hi. Catch ya later Britt." He says and hangs up before I respond.

A part of me thought he was a little sad that I didn't accept his offer. I don't know why but it bothered me. I couldn't stop thinking about it but it finally went in the back of my mind when Victoria came. "Hey girl! I haven't seen you in forever!"  She says giving me a hug. "Did you see the email for the tour? You get to do two Jiley duets!" She exclaims. "Yea I did." I say not as happy as her. "Oh come on, it's Jiley. You get to dance with Trevor two times!" She squeals. "You should be more excited!" She adds. "Yea I should but I'm not." I sigh. "Ok, what's going on." She says losing her excited tone.

"Nothing." "Brittany Raymond. I know you better then that. What's the matter?" She insists. "I called Trevor to ask him why there was two Jiley duets and...." I get interrupted by Victoria.

"Gosh, this whole two Jiley duets have gotten you uptight." "Do you want to know or what?" "Yes!" She inquires. "Anyways, I called Trev to ask him about the Jiley duets and he teased me, you know how it is, I told him I wasn't in a good mood today and he asked if I wanted him to come over and I told him you were coming so I declined and he sounded sad and hung up." I explain. "Wait a second, Trevor asked if you wanted him to come over?" Victoria asks confused.

"Well not exactly, he said if I wanted company." I tell her. "Oh ok, that is way better. But not for the Trittany shippers." She says and mumbles the last part to herself that I happen to hear.

"For the last time, Trevor and I don't like each other and we're not getting together!" I shout. "Woah, calm down Britt. I was only joking." She says. "No, no your not. The fans aren't joking, you aren't joking, nobody's joking!" I say a little louder then I should have. "Are you on your period or something?" Victoria asks. "No." I say and go to my bedroom like a little girl.

I was in there for a long time because I fell asleep. I assumed that Victoria left awhile ago so when I heard a knock on the door I didn't know who it was.

I got up and looked at my face. I didn't look awful but I don't look great either. I open the door and see Trevor standing there. "Hey Britt, Victoria called me saying you needed me."  He explained.

I study his expression. His clothes were covered in rain drops and his face looked like it was in the cold a little too long. "Can I come in?" He asks. "Yea sorry." I say stepping aside letting him slip in. "So, how can I help?" He asks facing me.

"I didn't need you. I don't know why she called you." I tell him honestly. "Well do you wanna talk?" He asks. "I guess." I say leading him over to my couch. I sit down and grab a blanket to cover myself. "Trevor, does it bother you?" I ask. "What bothers me?" "The whole Trittany thing?" I say and he chuckles. "To be honest, no it doesn't, but listen Britt, It doesn't bother me because I treasure our friendship and I don't want to lose it because of a date." He says. "Yea I agree, but for the record, you don't feel anything for me right?" I ask. "No, no, I love you like a sister, just like I love all the other female cast." He explains.

"Oh ok good." I sigh in relief. "How about me?" He asks. "Nope, same here, I love you like a brother." I reply. "Well I better go before the rain gets worse and I have to stay here for the night." He jokes. "Yea ok." Trevor takes his jacket and hat and walks to the door.

"Trevor wait." I say stopping him. He turns around and waits for me to say something. "I'm sorry for my attitude." I say leaning against the wall. "Don't even worry about it, everyone has bad days right." He says copying James' line. I smile and watch him leave. I felt better talking to Trevor. He has always lifted my mood when I talk to him.

I call Victoria to apologise to her as well. But at the end of the day, the whole two Jiley duets still didn't set well with me at all and I don't know why.

I hope you enjoyed this chapter and I am so excited to work on this book. So in case you haven't figured it out. This is kinda in the future. It takes place from February all the way to April when the tour ends. I don't have any plans from April and then on in the story but everyone knows plans change. Plus, I don't have any details for the new tour obviously so all the dances and stuff is made up.
