Trevor's POV
"What do you want for dinner?" I ask Brittany, who is currently on the floor painting her nails. "I don't care." She mumbles. I can tell she isn't thrilled about me watching her. I would have Victoria do it but she's out of town.
"Ok, pasta it is then." I tell her but she doesn't look up at me. "Britt, please stop." "Stop what?" "Stop acting like a baby, Your 22 years old!" Brittany's expression turned sad and she stood up and went to her room. I heard her lock the door and I started to feel bad for what I just said, I need to remember girls are very sensitive, unlike the guys.
When dinner was made, I knocked on her door. "Brittany?" I ask but got no answer. "Britt?" I thought she might of fainted again or something so I unlock the door using some makeshift tool. I open the door and see Brittany is just fine. "Hey, I could have been changing!" "That wouldn't have bothered me." I joke. "Trevor!" "Dinners ready Britt" I tell her. "Trev, wait." She says stoping me. "Your right, I have been acting awful." She says. "Yea you have." "Can you forgive me?" She asks. "Of course." I tell her and hug her.
"This is really good pasta." She compliments. "Thanks, my mom taught me how to make it." I smile. "You know, This may sound weird but your going to make a great father one day." She tells me. "You think so?" I ask. "Mhm, I do, because you make really good pasta." She tells me and I laugh. It was quiet for a few seconds before she spoke. "This is the part where you are suppose to tell me I'm going to make a great mom." She whispers. "Well, I don't know." I tell her. "What? Why not?" She asks. "I've never had your pasta." I say and we both laugh hard.
"You scared me!" She squeals as I take her hands into mine and whisper "You will be the best mother ever." I tell her. "Thank you." She smiles. I watch her close her eyes as she leans forward. I do the same and I can feel her breathing as we get closer to each other, before our lips actually touch, We hear a loud knock on the door and a familiar voice. Brittany, pulls away from my face and rushes to answer it.
I hear Victoria and Brittany greet each other and talk about how worried Victoria was when she found out about Brittany's accident and then she brings Victoria to the kitchen table and joins us for dinner, which Brittany invited her to.
"Hey, What are you doing here?" Victoria asks me. "I am making sure nothing bad happens to Britt again." I say. "Aww how cute!" She squeals and Brittany blushes bright red. I would have explained the situation but I just left it alone as the girls go onto talking about Victoria's unplanned trip to Los Angles.
Brittany takes the dishes to the sink and cleans up with the help of Victoria. I offered to help but they said I cooked dinner and didn't need to clean up.
I walked the short few steps to the living room and turned on the television and saw that TNS season 2 was playing. I called the girls over and they sat down with a bag of popcorn. "I remember when we filmed this!" Victoria squeals. "Yea, you kept messing up your lines." Brittany laughs. I try to focus on the screen but I couldn't help but overhear the girls.
"You got so emotional that day." Victoria adds laughing. "Um, it's not my fault, that was the day James cheated on Riley!" She defends. "Ok, you win. That was sad." She says. "I know! Trevor was so upset." Brittany adds. "Wait, no I wasn't!" I quickly say. "I knew you where listening to our conversation." Brittany laughs. "Well it's hard not to when your right next to me." I say. "Ok, lets watch this." Victoria says interrupting us and we all stay quiet till the 30 minutes were over.
We say goodbye to Victoria when she leaves. Brittany and I were laying on the couch in a peaceful silence, her head on my shoulder.
"Were we actually going to kiss?" She asked all of a sudden. I open my mouth but don't get to answer because there's another knock on her door. Brittany gets up and goes to answers it again. "I can't find my keys." Victoria says. "Did you look in your car?" I ask. "Yes, all over. I looked in my bag so I must have left them here." She explained.
We help Victoria search for her car keys for a good twenty minutes but ended up not finding them. Brittany told Victoria to spend the night and she did. They shared Brittany's bed while I'm in the guest bedroom in my bed.
Around midnight, I woke up thirsty and went to get a glass of water. I was trying to make as little noise as possible. I was walking back to my room when I saw something on the couch. It scared me as I spilt some water. "Brittany?" I whisper loudly. She stirs and slowly sits up. "Trev?" She questions. "What are you doing on the couch?" I ask. "Victoria likes to move in her sleep." She giggles. "You can come sleep in my bed." I tell her. Even if it was dark, I could see her face turn uncomfortable. "Trevor, I don't think that's a good idea." She says seriously.
"No, no! I meant I will sleep out here. Although, sleeping together wouldn't be so bad." I joke. "Trevor!" She squeals. "Just kidding. I would never do that to you." I tell her honestly. "I know, that's why your my best friend." She says. "Night Britt." "Good night Trev." She says and gets off of the couch. I pull the blanket over me and doze off to sleep.
The morning came and that meant it was time to leave. Victoria was here if Britt needed her, she only lived a few blocks from her. I got dressed while the girls were fast asleep. I had packed my bag the previous day so all I had to do was grab it and walk out. I kissed Brittanys forehead and I could have sworn that a smile crept onto her face.
I shut her door and go to my car. All I thought about the short drive home was if Victoria hadn't interrupted us, what would have happened. Would it have gotten further? No, Brittany isn't like that, besides, I promised I wouldn't ever take advantage of her and I was being honest. I would never do that and I'm not suppose to like Brittany. I don't like her right? That was the question that didn't leave my head all weekend.
Monday, I knew what my answer was, I just wasn't prepared for it.
I walk into rehearsals and got greeted by Jordan and her smile. Briar and Myles are the first ones to arrive, followed by Issac and Victoria.
When everyone else arrived and we got started on warm ups. We practiced the opening dance and it was pretty much perfect. The other group dance needed to be polished but I didn't need to worry about that right now.
Brittany's and I duet isn't nearly finished. We have both been very busy and this week off didn't help our problem. We were stuck on what to do for the next part of the dance. Jordan tried to help but her suggestions didn't work to well. When it was just Jordan, Brittany and myself, like it is almost every Monday we rehearse, Similar to a couple of weeks ago, Jordan left the room to bring stuff to her car leaving just Brittany and I.
"I never got to thank you for staying with me, even if I was unpleasant." She says. "Ya, no problem." I reply. I am almost 100% sure that we were thinking the same thing. That almost kiss. I take my chances and walk over to her and I lean in as she closes her eyes.
"Hey guys, Someone's here to talk to you..." Jordan says interrupting us. We quickly pull away from each other.
"Um, who?" I ask and glance at Brittany and see her getting her stuff. "Amy" She smiles and I see Amy walk in. Brittany runs over to hug her as I just casually walk over to play it cool.
"I heard you two are having trouble with your duet." She says and I nod. "We can't find the right moves." I explain. "I think I can help you with that." She says winking. "How about you show me your duet and Saturday we will meet up and I will show you what I've come up with." She explained. We both nod and Brittany drops her stuff.
We preform the duet without complications and after Amy said she really felt the chemistry between us. "See you on Saturday guys." She says and I watch Amy walk out.
Well, looks like my Saturday is planned for.
