Trevor's POV
Victoria and Brittany left 10 minutes ago and left us with uneven spacing so Jordan and I agreed to send everyone home. Lamar and Isaac stayed and helped clean up the rehearsal space this time.
I grab my phone which is in my bag and text Victoria and let her know that rehearsals ended and I asked her if she stayed with Britt. She replies with a ok and no.
"Hey, Do you want to check up on Britt?" Lamar says coming up behind me. "Yea I guess." I reply.
Isaac, Lamar and myself all drove to Brittany's after we cleaned up. Isaac knocks on her door and a minute later she stood right in front of us. "Hi."
I could tell she was sleeping. The way her hair was a little messy and her voice was groggy. There was a bruise on her forehead from her fall but It didn't look too bad. Other then those things, Brittany looked the same as when she left with Victoria. "Hey." Lamar spoke. "Do you want to come in?" She asks stepping out of the way. We nodded and walked into Brittany's apartment.
The apartment was dimly lit and it was fairly clean. "How are you feeling?" Isaac asked. "Better, but it still kinda hurts." She answers. "Looks like it." I tease. Isaac hits my shoulder and Brittany laughs. "Is it really that bad?" She asks. "Nah, you can barely tell you fell." I add. She smiles and offers us something to drink."I'm sure you don't want company right now, we only came to see how you were." Lamar says truthfully. "No, you guys are fine. I don't mind." Brittany replies. "Are you sure?" Isaac asks. "Yes, Now do you what something to drink?" We nod as she passed us some soda. We thank her and she motions for us to sit down.
"How excited are you guys for this tour?" She asks. "I can't put it into words." Lamar answers and Isaac agrees. I don't really join in on the conversation, instead I listen.
Brittany has to give a hint as to why she's upset. I know she's hiding something from me and every time she tried to tell me or at least I think she tried to tell me, we got interrupted by someone. It's beginning to bother me more and more and I don't know why. I usually just push it away and don't even worry about it. I don't feel bothered like this when Lamar keeps a secret from me or Victoria. I have been friends with Brittany as long as I have with most of my friends. I have no feelings towards Brittany so why her? I don't know. I can't answer why I am so worked up about her not telling me.
"What do you think Trevor?" Brittany asks me and snapping me out of my thoughts. "What?" "What do you think the tour will be like this time? It's always different because of the new cities and people we have on tour." Isaac says. "Oh, I think it will be lit." I reply. They laugh and agree. "We should get going, see you tomorrow Britt." Lamar says and hugs her. "Ok, bye guys."
Brittany walks us out and says goodbye to Isaac. Now I am the last one. "You sure you don't need anything?" "Yea I'm sure. If I did, I always have Victoria." She replies. "Ok well see you tomorrow." "Bye Trev." She waves and I walk out. Brittany closed the door behind me and I go to my car.
I drive home thinking about Brittany. Why couldn't I stop thinking about Brittany? It wasn't like this before. I needed to talk to someone. I didn't want to talk to Lamar and Isaac about it because they would think I'm whipped or something. I decide to call my brother, Steven.
"Yo big bro." He says. "Yo, Do you have some time to talk?" I ask. "Umm, I am actually working with mom right now at the dance studio. I think Justine is around. Call her." He says and hangs up. He's a big help. Note the sarcasm.
I tap on Justine's contact and listen to the phone ring. A few seconds go by and she answers. "Hi Trevor." I hear her say. "Yo sis, Do you have time to talk?" I ask. "Yea, Is it important?" "Kinda" "Ok, I will meet you at your apartment in 10 minutes." She says. "Ok see you there." I say and end the call. I put my phone back and continue focusing on driving.
I arrive at my place and see Justine already waiting for me. "How'd you get in?" I ask. "Oh a little sister never reveals her secrets." She smirks. I laugh and offer her some snacks.
"So, tell me your problems." She said like a therapist. "How do you know I have problems?" "Trev, I know you. I think I would be able to tell if my brother needed my help." She says. "So what's wrong?" "You can't tell anyone what I'm about to tell you." I start. She nods and I go on. "Well, Something has been bothering Brittany lately and I don't know what. It drives me crazy not knowing. Don't ask me why because I don't know. I honestly can't give you a answer. I find myself always thinking about her." I sigh. "Have you talked about it with her?" Justine asks softly.
"Yea, every time she gets to the part where she's going to tell me, We get interrupted by someone." I explain. "This may sound silly, but is there the slightest possibility that you like Brittany?" She asks. "No and besides, I am not going to prove that everyone was right about the whole Trittany thing. No way." I tell her. "Trevor, I don't think you are being completely honest with yourself. I think that if you do start to like Brittany, it will ruin your friendship with her, that is why your not letting your true feelings come out. Am I right?" She asks. "Um no. I don't like Brittany and I never will." I say. "You are so stubborn sometimes." She says walking toward the door. "Bye!" I say. "Bye!" She replied. I hear the front door close and I sigh again.
Justine isn't right about me. Is she? No, just no. Brittany's a friend and it's all she will ever be.
