HOWDY HOWDY I'M ALMOST SEVENTEEN NOW, around 3 years older than the weeb that wrote this fic. In that time, I've evolved from a depressed not-quite-9th-grader into a slightly less depressed halfway-through-junior. Things that have happened since then:
-The stray cat in my yard had 2 litters of babies
-I got a boyfriend (surprising, right?)
-I've gone through 2 drawing computers, and improved immensely
-My friends this story was based on are still my friends, but now we're all in band. (one moved, but his girlfriend turned out to be pretty nice :D)
-My grades went down by a lot, but I realized that even if they're very important, keeping yourself happy is more important. Don't overwork yourself, and start looking into your future as early as possible. Find what you love, and keep at it so one day it can become what you do for a living.
-I cosplay Love Live characters now?????????????? I've gotten very good at sewing!
-I still like hetalia, not as much as before, but it's still a very funny show and comic! (although my current favorite character is wy :P)
-Actually, I still really like anime, just not in a cringey way! In fact, I've gotten good enough at drawing it to sell commissions! (psst check out my redbubble: http://www.redbubble.com/people/starbunnyart?ref=account-nav-dropdown&asc=u )
In the end, this doesn't sound like much, but even as a 13 year old, if you feel hopeless, you're going to grow. You'll find what you love, and even if you're still depressed someday, and everything's not okay, there's still one thing keeping you around, and that's you and every dream you haven't realized you have. There's so much in this world that could've kept me from realizing it, and it was so hard, but it all fed into who I am now.
If things are really difficult, it's okay to write stories and songs about how you feel, or just create something that may seem off-putting. One day, if you keep it up, you'll become the only one that can create things the way you can.
Long story short, life is okay. It's hard. It's shitty, and there are lots of boring filler pages and draft layers, but there's always going to be another good chapter and perfect shading.
