Dustin's POV

I woke up to the sound of a murmured conversations, slowly I peeled my eyes open. My vision was blinded by the light. Something sat upon the bridge of my nose and covered my mouth. I pulled it away from my face and began to look it over. It was an oxygen mask.

I lifted my head and tried to look around the room. By the side of my bed sat Lucas, Will, and Mike they were all sprawled out all over the couch, asleep. I turned my head to find Six, asleep with her head on the bed and holding my hand.

"Hello?" I called out. The heart monitor I was hooked up to began to beep faster, and louder. Instantly a young man in scrubs entered the room.

"Glad to see you're awake." He said smiling.

"Uh... Yeah." I mumbled.

"You took quite a fall kid."

"Huh?" I asked confused.

"Well, your aunt." He said pointing to Joyce who was out in the hall with my mom. "Said you fell off your bike and rolled down a hill, hitting some rocks."

"Oh, um yeah. I forgot."

"Are you experiencing memory loss?"

"Sort of," I mumbled.

"I'll inform your doctor..." He said picking up scissors. "Okay, I'm going to have to cut off the bandages on your neck so, that I can clean your cut again." I nodded. "Can you sit up for me?" I nodded again.

I tried sitting up, but with Six's hand in my own, I struggled. Slowly I let go of her hand. Immediately her head sprung up and she looked all around dazed and sleepy. Once she adjusted and was awake enough to actually see, she looked to me. With wide eyes, her bright smile appeared on her face.

"Dustin!" She squealed jumping up and wrapping her arms around my neck. "You're awake!" Behind her, I saw all the guys awake startled and confused. After a full minute of hugging, she pulled away just enough for her to see my face, and for me to see hers. Her eyes were red and puffy, and filled with tears. "I never thought I see you again..." She mumbled. She leaned in and pecked my lips with her own. I pulled her head back in and held her close.

"I'm okay now," I whispered.

"Dusty!" I heard someone yell. Six and I pulled apart. Quickly Six, the guys, and the male nurse all exited the room. "Dustin, oh my goodness!" The voice called again... It was my mother. "Dusty honey..." She said engulfing me in a hug. She kissed me on top of my head and sobbed.

"Mom..." I muttered, the happy moment only lasted for a few seconds. She quickly pulled away and smacked me on the back of my head.

"Karen Wheeler told me you lied and said you were going to the park! How did you think I felt when I got a call from the hospital saying my son had severe injuries, from falling down a hill!" I said nothing, my mind went blank.

"Goddamn it, Dustin!"

"I-I... I-I was-" I stumbled.

"I thought I lost you forever! What were you thinking?!" She said completely red with anger.

"I'm sorry... I wasn't thinking."

"Obviously." She mumbled as she covered her face with her hands, rubbing her eyes. She looked so exhausted. "Jesus, Dustin..."

"I'm sorry mom."

"You're lucky you're alive." She said grabbing my hand. I nodded, "Are you okay?" She said pushing aside the previous moments.

"I think so..." I mumbled.

"You father's working and couldn't get anyone to cover him, so he had to stay... I have to go back to the office in a few hours. Joyce and her family are going to stay with you for tonight..."
