Not Hungry

Dustin's POV 

It had been a couple of days since I was first admitted to the hospital. The guys visited as much as they could, but it was a pain considering the fact that school was still going, and testing was coming up. Six not having ever gone to school in the first place spent most of her time by my side.

I'm not gonna lie, it was really nice having her with me... I liked being alone with her. It did sometimes get kinda awkward without the guys to help keep a conversation going, but other than that I really liked having y/n around so much. After a few seconds of silence, Y/n re-entered the room.

"Dustin?" She asked, I looked up to see her and smiled. "Do you want ham and cheese or peanut butter and jelly?"

"I'm actually not that hungry, I was gonna take a nap." Lately, I had begun to feel strange and kind of ill all the time. I was almost always tired and just couldn't eat. I felt like there was something growing inside of me...

"The doctor says you need to eat before they can give you more medication..." She replied, looking at me confused.

"I'm feeling pretty good, I don't think I need anymore." I lied, but she didn't need to know how bad I felt. She had gone through so much already. She was always worrying about me. A couple of nights ago I was running a high fever and began to go into shock, the doctor said I was going to be fine, but the stress that it had put on Six... She needed a break.

"Are you sure?" She asked walking toward me.

"Yeah, I'm just really tired," I said as I smiled and placed my hand in hers.

"Okay..." She smiled back, "I have to go, Joyce is taking Will and me to see Mike and Lucas, Jonathan is staying here with you. I-Is that okay?"

"Yeah, go! I'm sure the guys miss you, you haven't seen them in awhile." She became giddy and happy.

"Bye Dustin!" She leaned in and gave me a quick peck on the cheek before she ran out.

"Have fun!" I smiled. After Y/n left, I lied deeper into my bed and rested my eyes. 

Your POV

As soon as Will and I reached Mike's house we immediately out of the car.

"I'll be back at 3:30!" Joyce shouted through the car window.

"Bye, mom!" Will said waving.

"I love you!" I yelled as she pulled out of the driveway. She said returning the smile and blowing a kiss. Will quickly turned to me with a smirk, "What?" I said returning to a quiet volume.

"Nothing." He laughed, knocking on the door. I didn't know what the big deal was... I just said I loved her. Which I did, she was extremely kind and understanding. Plus treated me like one of her own.

"Hey, guys!" Mike said opening the door.

"Hey." Will said as we walked in.

"Lucas is in the basement," Mike said taking my jacket. After Will and I set our things down we all went down. Once we all reached the basement Lucas came and wrapped me in a big hug.

"Hey, Six." He smiled.

"What's the occasion?" I laughed.

"I just missed you guys... We never see you anymore." He mumbled.

"I know, it's just I need to be there for him and Will's mom doesn't want me to go alone"

"How is he?" Mike interjected.

"Better... He's become kinda weird about eating."

"Eating?" Lucas asked in a stunned and sarcastic tone.
