Time Skip >> Two Weeks Later (Your POV) 

My eyes fluttered open. I looked all around, I felt the body by my side begin to move around. Startled, I jumped up. I looked down and saw an unconscious and messy-haired Will. I giggled at the sight of him. For the past few days, I've been back living in the Byer's house.

Dustin had finally gotten out of the hospital. He's ribs were still pretty sore, but the doctor said there was no potential risk. That he would be fine with rest and pain medication. I was so happy that he would finally be able to get out of that hospital. He and I got to hang out way more now that his mother had gotten to know me.

She said she liked having another girl in the house, she joked around saying that maybe having me around would teach Dustin some manners. Dustin didn't think it was nearly as funny as I did.

My mom has been staying with Hopper, occasionally I go over there. When it's okay with Joyce, of course. As far as everyone was concerned, Joyce was still my guardian and basically my second mom. She hardly ever said 'no' to me going, she knew how much seeing her meant to me.

It was amazing getting to see my mother, I finally felt like we were getting to know each other. She told me about her life and my grandparents, but from what I can tell... They weren't the nicest people. They told her that if she was gonna keep me that she might as well never come home. That's why she went to Brenner, she couldn't kill me, but she couldn't keep me.

She told how much she regretted everything after it had already happened. I believed her... Not only, had I bonded more with my mother. I had gotten much closer to Hopper, he had become such an important part of my life. The other day he took me out to buy clothes! It was so much fun; I don't think he liked it as much as I did, but he still smiled.

The best part of everything that happened in the past few weeks was, I'm gonna get to start school soon! Joyce was saying I was in the house too often, and I had too much time on my hands. Will suggested I start going to school and getting into the routine, considering I would be staying in Hawkins.

I wouldn't have it any other way, I had too much to lose now. I had a big family and friends. I had everything I had ever wanted. I quickly retreated from the bed and walked out to the living room. No one was awake yet, I checked Jonathan's room to find him and Nancy cuddling, asleep in his bed. When I went to Joyce's room, it was completely empty. She must have gone to work early. I looked outside to see the sun slowly rising. I shook it off and went to the bathroom, I decided I was gonna take a bath. 

Joyce's POV

Slowly the door opened to a half-asleep Hopper, I had gone out early this morning to see him.

"Hey, Hop." I smiled.

"How ya doing? He said before giving me a "good morning" kiss on the lips.

"I'm good, Natasha awake?"

"Not yet, she likes to sleep in." He chuckled. "Want to sit down?"

"Yeah, thanks." I walked into his house and sat down at his breakfast table.

"Want some food? I just made breakfast." He said pouring me coffee.

"No thanks babe, I have to get to work. I just wanted to see you before you went to the station." He sat down next to me and smiled.

"How are the kids?"

"Well, Jonathan had Nancy sleepover and he's so happy with her. I'm glad he has someone." I smiled at the thought, he doesn't seem to feel so alone anymore. "Will and Six are good too," I continued, "Six is really excited about school. I think she just wants an excuse so she can go see Dustin." I joked as I took a sip of my coffee.
