Elijah's POV
I woke up the next day on the couch and Denis and Alex were on the floor.
It was only 6. They wouldn't be up for awhile so I could go and see her.
I made my way up the stairs and slowly opened the door. She was sleeping in her bed.
I shut her door and she instantly woke up excited, took one look at me, and plopped her head back down.
"What? Not happy to see me?" I asked her, turning her towards me
"I was expecting Denis." She replied
I sighed. When would she be over him?
I plopped down on her bed and put my arm around her, which she quickly removed.
"Elijah, there is nothing between us, you know that." She sat up
"Then why'd you kiss me last night?" I asked her, a bit frustrated.
She lowers her voice. "I don't know, I wasn't thinking."
This put me over he edge, I jumped up from her bed.
"What does that mean? Do you just go around kissing people?!" I whisper yelled.
"No! I just..." she didn't finish
"You just what, y/n." She stood up.
"I don't know!" She finally finished,
I noticed she had a balcony that had steps down.
"Well figure it out. I'm not putting up with this bull." Was what I said before grabbing my hoodie and rushing out the door,
She followed me out for a bit until I got to my car,
"Elijah, don't do this."
I stopped dead in my tracks and turned to her.
"Do what?! Do what, y/n?! You kissed me last night! You pretty much told me you were into me, and then you do this?! Make up your goddamn mind!" I noticed how loud I was and I reached to open the car door but she stopped me.
"I told you, this can't go anywhere, whatever we have between us." She said.
"Then you should have said that before sending mixed signals. Delete my number."
I got in my car and drove off, but I could see her standing in the street in my rear view mirror with her hands covering her face.
I felt like a jerk but I didn't care.
Here's the full story.
About 3 years ago I dated a girl for about 7 months, we were completely in love.
At least, I was.
I had woke up one morning and my brother, Ethan had confessed to me that she had been cheating on me with him.
It felt like my world was crashing down. I felt like I wasn't good enough for her, I felt like it was all my fault, but I was still in love with her, so I forgave her.
The next month, she shot herself.
After that, I didn't ever look at another girl for 2 years, then I saw y/n.
I remember the exact moment I met her, at the dinner, she looked amazing and I knew she was perfect, I guess Denis just beat me to her.
So I drove and drove, I didn't really care where. In fact I drove so much that I was only 59 miles from the boarder.
I stopped at a small preserve with a big oak tree and, to be honest, I cried.
It wasn't exactly all for y/n, but it was mainly about her.
Why the mixed signals?
Why can't she choose me or Denis? She's obviously got a thing for me.
Why am I so unlucky when it comes to love?
I thought about my ex, Amanda.
I thought about her voice and played it in my head.
I thought about her face and compared it to y/ns. They were very similar.
In all honesty, I thought about following Amanda.
But I didn't, I had a life to live. With or without y/n, but preferably with.
Denis POV
I woke up to my phone buzzing and I checked it to find a link from Rosa
I raised an eyebrow and clicked on the link, squinting at the bright light.
There it was, plastered on my Facebook page, a picture of my girlfriend and my best friend, kissing.
I almost cried, looking at that picture.
I have never been lucky with the ladies, but I've never been cheated on.
Or, was this even cheating!?
Who cares, really. It didn't matter. A kiss was a kiss.
I tried not to wake Alex and ran to her room, looking for her. She wasn't there, and I just noticed, neither was Elijah.
"Probably ran off to screw..." I mumbled to myself, grabbing everything I owned from her room and bringing it to my house. I would just ghost her. She didn't deserve an explanation. Not when she did this.
I got to my room and closed my curtains, making the room a pitch black. Perfect.
That day I uploaded a pre recorded video, I wasn't too enthusiastic today. The fans didn't deserve that.
The fans...
The fans.
I thought again about what Jennifer had said yesterday.
"My sister had been watching you for 7 months!" Was what I remembered.
We had only known each other for 2 months, 14 days and 14 hours. I keep track.
"All she is is...she's just a fangirl. Forget about her already," I tried to tell myself, cuddling with my monkey.
I've been dating a fan this whole time?! That's one thing I never wanted to do, the reasons are obvious.
As much as I tried to not think about her, she kept getting in my head.
Her beautiful eyes, her perfect...everything really.
"God dammit." I thought to myself, getting out of my bed,
There was only one way to forget about everything, right?
I looked in all my cabinets, and there it was in its clear bottle. I took the tequila off of its shelf and did t bother with a cup, I knew I'd drink it all anyway.
"Cheers." I said to myself, almost crying.
Alex's POV
I woke up to nobody in the house. Goddammit.
Your POV.
I stood out on the street bawling my eyes out. What was I even thinking?!
When I walked in, Denis was gone. But I got an anonymous text.
It was a link, and when I opened it, I was horrified.
My picture of Elijah and I, plastered on Denis Facebook.
Then my phone went off again.
"I told you people would find out, whore" it read.
