~Remember Me

*Jade’s P.O.V.

At 12 I had finished my mythology class and I was heading back to the dorm. I hadn’t seen Katlyn since this morning because she said she was going to meet up with Hunter somewhere. Then Alondra had left with me when I had to get to class. But we had a great time last night and before everyone left we ate ice-cream and just had a sweet breakfast.

I was eating a kit kat when I realized that Liam was supposed to pick me up at 1. I quickly dropped what I was doing and went to get changed. I put on a white tank top and a red over the shoulder tunic with black skinny jeans and red converses. When I was done it was 5 minutes to 1 and I was wondering how I should wear my hair.

What the hell? I thought, Why do I care so much? Then quickly brushed my hair and put it in its usual ponytail. I was grabbing my phone when there was a knock at the door.

“It’s me,” I heard Liam say and opened the door.

“Hey, I’m ready to go,” I told him before closing the door.

“Great,” he said, grabbing my hand.

“Where are we going?” I asked.

“We’re taking a trip down memory lane,” he said when we got to his car. My eyes narrowed in confusion, but I got in. The drive was quiet and I tried to figure out what he meant by a trip down memory lane but came up either nothing. Soon we had arrived at the Walmart he had taken me to yesterday.

            “What-”

“You’ll see,” he smirked, dragging me to the entrance. Then he grabbed a cart and started walking around.

“What are you doing?” I asked. Finally he stopped in a deserted area and said, “Get in.” My eyes widened at what he wanted me to do.

“No, those days are over,” I said, laughing. He looked at me with that cute face he always did when he wanted something and my resolve began to break.

“Last time ever,” I said as he helped me get in the cart. Then he started walking and I started singing to “Walking on Sunshine,” and dancing. Everyone was looking at us strangely and I laughed when some people started singing with me.

“I’m walking on sun-” I was cut off by Liam picking me up and throwing me over his shoulder because an angry security guard was running toward us.

“And don’t it feel good!” I yelled as we were exiting. “I’m walking on sunshine,” I kept singing until we were safely in Liam’s car. Then I burst into laughter until my stomach hurts and I felt like I literally couldn’t breathe.

“That was…” I said trailing off.

“I know,” he said, wiping the tears from my face. I stayed still as he slowly brushed stray hair behind my ear looking into my eyes. Then I looked down because his stare was too intense.
