Made For Rain

Chapter two

In April as the flowers began to bloom and the scent of roses blooming became all that was in the air i longed to go home. the castle seemed empty now that my love was gone and it was just back to me and Erik again. he could tell i was getting depressed again and he sent word to my father.

Father called me home the next day to find out what was wrong. and i told him i was lonely and what had happened and i asked his advice. he said as he always did "Humans don't understand our love it is best to leave her be and let her find someone else. " i was furious my mother was human who was he to judge . i screamed and raged and slammed my bedroom door. i laid on my bed and cried my eyes out.  

how dare he say this to me it isn't like i can find someone who is a demigod and knows who my parents are. its still quite the scandal even now hundreds of years later. Given that my father turned his love into a immortal  but no his daughter can't even have the person she loved. it was hypocritical and it made me cry even more.

Many days later it seems like months Erik my guard and only friend in this place since my father sent me back to France, brought me a letter from my sister Juliette, 

Dearest Sister,

I hope this letter finds you well in France, I am doing well in Greece these men and women are crazy! There was a festival to celebrate Zeus and Hera. It went well on for a full week! The temples were lit up with different lanterns , it made me miss home for a short time, Father came to visit me and asked me if I had heard from you when i said no he told to write you  it said he had to call you home for a short time because you fell in love with a human. Sister why would you fall in love with one of them. They aren't like us , i understand you loved the human but we live longer than they ever will. Well I am off to the market for fresh olive oil and a new dress. Write back soon
