Name: Calais Agate
Guild: Gruul
Race: Ogre
Age: Ogres do not follow such human trivialities like defining age. She has been around many moons and suns, enough to have seen the way the guilds falter.
Gender: Female biologically, though that is as far as distinctions go.
Appearance: Calais is short in comparison to many ogres, standing at around seven and a half feet tall rather than the typical nine. Already, she is different than most of her clan, but her loud voice often deafens those who question her power, since ogres' height is a status symbol of strength. She is bulky, and while her hands could easily crush any other race that chose to speak ill of her, they are actually quite worn from the dirt, and not from bludgeoning or squeezing people to death. Her hair is often covered in clay in order to preserve it and keep it maintainable, and her skin is a shade of light tanned leather. She had a large nose and a bulky smile that often intimidates upon first glance. She covers herself with clothing her mother made, though even that is one of the closest things to the rest of the races that she will conform to.
Personality: Calais is slightly different to most ogres of Gruul. Her height has meant she has had to adapt and, instead of using brute force to protect her clan like most do, uses her powers to try and show that ogres are not what they are stereotyped to be. She is resilient and headstrong, and while she tries to see other sides and other clans and races' opinions, when she is offended or insulted she becomes easily enraged, her emotions often leaving a wake of destruction. She is committed to her causes—namely being an advocate for environmental affairs—but oftentimes she finds her messages shunned by other guilds, which only serves to further withdraw Calais into anger and destruction. While powerful, she feels like she is never listened to, not in her own clan, where she has attempted for many years to rise to the ranks of the top Gruul officials, and not in any other guild. Because of the constant stream of negativity, she puts up a shield that prevents anyone from seeing her as she is, and rather see her as what ogres are stereotyped as: cruel, quick to anger, and a lost cause. In reality, her passion drives her through each day, and her resilience gets her through each night.
Other: She does not enjoy feasting on anything other than vegetation and the occasional already dead meat product.
