Ah, one of my favorite parts of any given Games: the part where I make arbitrary judgements about your tributes using criteria you can't truly predict, while you wait with baited breath for the results!
Also, Special Awards.
The Maze Rusher Award for First Entry
This award isn't given to a single tribute, mainly because there was tie- between a single author's two tributes. Which were often both completed and submitted before any other entries had been written. As such, I am proud to recognize CAKersey, writer of Heccan Kirkeus and Newt-Ella Doe-Knott.
The Send to Sleep Award for Procrastination
Though everyone in these Games save the author above managed to give me heart failure at some point, one author distinguished themselves for entries sent at or directly after 10 PM, even in the Finals
Winner: Elijah Karsur (aceh3x)
The Land of Heroes Award for Best Guild
Ironically, the guild which lasted the longest in the competition for peaceful mediator was the decidedly non-peaceful, anti-heroic Rakdos. I hope I'm not the only one who finds this oddly amusing.
Winner: Elijah Karsur (acehex) and Hesperia Haera (lostwithmyfriends)
The Hypnotic Siren Award for Best Song Task
Song tasks are never easy to do well, and as such it's very impressive to find a tribute who took a song for a tricky task and knocked it out of the park. "All These Things That I've Done" was the entry we didn't know we needed.
Winner: Iracun Rumpig (annie1loves1you)
The Pariah Award for Most Targeted Tribute
Awarded to the tribute who was received no fewer than 3 different ballot challenges, this dubious honor goes to one of our wonderful finalists!
Winner (sort of): Mikaela Gavreel (-Raven-)
The Could You Not? Award for Feels
Awarded to the tribute who did stUPID HORRIBLE THINGS TO A POOR INNOCENT RABBIT AND- ahem. I mean, who worked long and subtly to create a powerful emotional emotional response in his readership. (Screw you, Carl. Fluffy deserved better.)
Winner: Heccan Kirkeus (CAKersey)
The Pia and Kiran Nalaar Award for Best Ship
Awarded to the tributes who were the only ship in these Games (I've noticed ships barely turn up in my Games. It's very odd. Is that just a me thing?) I'm proud to recognize our little finalist lovebirds.
Winners: Mikaela Gavreel (-Raven-) and Elijah Karsur (aceh3x)
