Alex's POV
Nearly a year has passed since the passing of my parents and sister. I missed them, spent everyday thinking about them but I've learned to accept the loss and I've tried to move on.
Jeri got a job around the area and officially moved into my beach house here in Florida.
Kelley, Tobin, and I all went up to New York to meet back with the USWNT for World Cup Qualifications.
We got to New York pretty fast and went downtown to the hotel where the rest of the team was.
It was exciting being able to see the team after not seeing them for quite sometime.
"They're here!" I hear Megan Rapinoe's familiar voice. The team surrounded us with hugs and it was so relieving.
I smiled as my team beamed at me after not seeing them in such a long time.

After catching up with a few people Tobin and I went up to our room because we were rooming together.
I set my bags on the floor and instantly laid on the bed.
"You okay?" Tobin asks as she sits next to me and brings my head up to her lap.
"Tired, that's all." I say as I look up at Tobin. The girl I loved with my whole heart. The girl I tried hating but couldn't because I was so in love with her.
The girl who meant so much to me. The girl who was always there for me. Tobin Heath was really one of the only people who knows my full story besides Jeri and Kelley.
"How about I take you out on a date tonight?" Tobin asks as she begins to play with my hair.
"I'd like that." I say with a smile as Tobin leaned in and pressed her soft lips against mine.
I stood up, and together we unpacked our things. Tobin went to the room next to us to talk to Amy so I just wandered around not knowing who to talk to.
"Hey, Alex." I hear someone say. I turn around and see Christen with her hands shoved into her pockets.
"Hey, Christen." I say as I slowly make my way over to you.
"How are you?" She asks me and it almost seemed that she was desperate to know how I was.
"I'm okay." I say with a small smile. "You?"
"I'd have to say the same thing... listen I'm sorry about everything that went down between us. I convinced myself that I was in love with Tobin but she would never love me back no matter how hard she tried. You two deserve to be together and I can promise you that I won't get in between you're relationship. I won't mess up this time." Christen says with her head down.
I didn't say anything, I didn't have to. I looked at Christen and a small smile formed on my face as I wrapped her into a hug.
"I trust you, Christen. I really do." I whisper into her ear. I pull away and a small smile also formed on her face.
"I'm going up to my room now, I'll catch up with you later." Christen says and with that she was gone.
Later that night, Tobin took me out to dinner and we talked about life and what we both wanted.
"Tobin?"
"Yes?"
"I can't wait any longer. I've waited years and I'm tired of waiting." I stand up and get down on one knee.

I've been running out of ideas for this story and it's getting harder to think of stuff to write and I know I said that I was planning on writing till at least 70 chapters but there's been a change of plans.
