It was about two in the morning, Ell had just finished a couple of her commissions and she was hungry. She rubs her eyes then yawned. She gets up from her chair and made sure to label her drawing so she rememberd who's commission she was drawing.

Ell walked out of her room and went to the kitchen to grab something to eat and some cherry cola. She new she would regret eating and drinking later on.

She stared at the drink in her hand. She hasn't opened it. Her lips began to quiver, she shoved the carbonated drink back inside the fridge. She closes the fridge and goes to sit on the sofa.

She curls up on the couch and began to cry.

She felt disgusting, wrong, fat. She didn't know what was wrong with her. All of her other friends were very beautiful and than meanwhile she was unattractive and chubby or at least that's what she thought.

Ell trembled as she continues to cry. Her eyes were droopy and they stung, she began to fall asleep.

Matilda woke up to face full of sunlight. She groans and climbs out of her comfortable bed. Her door slams open, "Bout' time you woke up!" There she was, in all her tired and excited glory. The girl she was talking about was Ell, "Why are you so excited?" She asked groggily, "Tamara made bacon and she said we had to wait for you to get up and I couldn't wait. I feel bad for waking you up now, you of course need your beauty sleep–" She giggles and places her finger onto Ell's lips, "I get it, enough of your rambling."

The ginger, still in her sleeping gown, made her way tiredly down the hall. Ell was fully dressed in the same clothes as last night. Green jacket, beige khakis, and white socks with a spot of grey on the heel of her foot.

"Hey look at that. She lives." Tamara chuckled looking at Matilda with tired stare, "Oh hush."

Ell sat down at the table, arms sprawled out in front of her. The little brunette giggles as if she were a child.

Tamara sets the plate of rectangular pork down onto the table. Ell's smile widened in pure glee. Matilda chuckled at her small friend, her cheeks turned pink.

Ell was the cutest person she's met, even more cute than her. Her hair was always fluffy and ruffled, but never had tangles. She was extremely warm, a great cuddling partner. She'd listen to what people had to say or vent. She's basically a perfect human being and Matilda adored her adorable ways.

Meanwhile Ell was regretting eating the pork but she would feel bad for not eating it and Matilda and Tamara would get suspicious. She smiled at Matilda as she nibbled her bacon.

Matilda was a beautiful ginger. She smelled like brown sugar and cinnamon. She was strong, lean, and healthy. Yes she was indeed narcissistic, but that's what made Matilda even more admirable. She loved herself more than anything. She had so much confidence in her stride. She wasn't afraid to show off or state her opinion. A perfect example of the most perfect human being.

After breakfast Ell went back to her room. She had a sad expression on her face, Matilda noticed this.

Yesterday, last week, last year. She'd notice that Ell would put on more clothing than needed. The brunette used to wear her "Smeg Head" tee-shirt around. She'd even wear shorts from time to time. But as the time grew, the more of her body she covered. She wouldn't step outside and she'd get away with it with some silly excuse.

It was now noon. Tamara went to a party with her other friends. So that meant Ell and Matilda were home alone. Together.

Ell squeaked when feeling Matilda sit down next to her, "So tell me Ell. What's really going on. I'm not falling for your silly excuses anymore."

She gulped, 'Oh god.' Her lip bottom lip began to quiver.

Tears spilled from her eyes and she sobbed quietly. Matilda was surprised at Ell's reaction, "I-I didn't mean to sound so har–" Ell hugged Matilda and sobbed into the ginger's purple jacket.

She embraced Ell, she dint know what troubling this perfect girl, "What's wrong Ell?" She asked rubbing circles into/onto Ell's back in an attempt to calm her down.

"W-why are you guys even friends with m-me?" She choked out. Matilda was shocked at the question, "Why wouldn't we be Ell? You're the most amazing friend. Why ask such a silly question?" The brunette sniffles and loosened her grip, "W-well," she began, "I-I'm not as pretty as you guys, a-and I'm not as great as– mmph!"

Her eyes were wide, and filled with shock as Matilda kissed her, 'I-is this really happening?' She melted into the kiss, letting out a small moan. Matilda smiled and separated from Ell's lips, "Don't ever think of yourself that way again," she holds Ell close to her, "understand?"

Ell nodded as Matilda wiped away her tears, "Good."
