He broke it. He broke his promise. His promise to stay. His promise to come back.

"T-Tord what are you d-doing?" Screamed Edd staring at the giant red machinery in front of of him.

The Norwegian looked down at Edd an grinned like a madman, "I'm sorry Edd, I just couldn't leave this behind!"

He stood in horror, tears began spilling from his eyes. His sobs were like screams.

"You promised Tord! You promised!" He kept sobbing.

It was late, maybe around eleven, and Edd was still up struggling to not fall asleep. Falling asleep would mean Tord could disappear at any given moment, he had to keep a look out.

"Edd?" Tord called out from the hallway. Edd jumped, "Y-yes, Tord?"

The Norwegian came into view, "Why are you still up?" He asked, Edd felt bad and didn't reply.

Tord sighed and sat next to Edd, "You're afraid I'll leave again, aren't you?" Tears pricked at Edd's eyes as he hesitantly nodded.

He was soon engulfed in a kiss, "My dear Edd. I promise to never leave you. I swear my life on it."

Edd smiled and tears spilled from his eyes, "Th-thank you Tord." He mumbled.

He stared at the two corpses in front of him. He trembled until he finally collapsed screaming at nothing but the air.

He fell limp, crying into the cold lifeless bodies beneath him. The names that belonged to those corpses were Matt and Tom.

The neighbors, having lost one of their own, stared at the sobbing boy in fear and pity.

He mumbled, "Why's" and "You promised's" to himself. While the culprit looked down at the boy who was crying, smirking.

He motioned one of the limbs down towards Edd, gripping the boy tightly, "Now that that's over with. I haven't broken my promise. You're coming to stay with me forever dear."

Edd looked at the monster before him, "Why?" He mumbled, "Why did you do this?" He asked.

"Doll's aren't supposed to have emotions dear, hopefully you've learned from this." Tord spoke bluntly still having that toothy grin of his, "T-hey don't put up fights either."

Tord clicked his tongue when he didn't get a reply from Edd, "Giving me the silent treatment huh? Fair enough." The Norwegian chuckled, "Now let's take you to your new home dear. We'll never separate, I won't have to break the promise I made."

Tord smiled softly, "Isn't that what you wanted?"
