Another explosion, great, this is just what Tom needed. His work of trying to find Edd was interrupted by a solider barging into his office, "The Red Leader needs you and Matthew to go investigate the scene! He would do it himself, but he has other important business to attend to!" Like smoking and drinking, lazy prick. Tom sighed and pushed his papers to the side, "Alright."

Tom heads to Matt's quarters, the guard following close behind. He groaned, "Get lost!" The solider jumped, by nodded and runs off back to his post.

After a couple minutes of walking he finally stopped in front of Matt's door, "Matt if you're sleeping I'm going to fucking beat the living shit out of you!" He heard rummaging and the door opened with a swift pull. Clearly Matt had just gotten up, "What is it?" He asked. Tom crossed his arms, "We have to investigate somethin' for the boss cause' the lazy fuck can't do it himself because he had more "important" things to attend to." Matt stares at Tom for second, "Alright, let me get my overcoat." He grumbles.

They arrive at the scene, they hop out of the jeep-like vehicle and look around, "You search over there, I'll search over here. Got it?" Matt nodded, "We meet back here in a couple hours, or so." They part ways to investigate.

When Tom was about to give up and head back to the vehicle something grabbed his attention.

No.. It couldn't be.

His eyes widen in shock, but also overwhelming joy. His lips curled into a wide smile when seeing the man he loved standing right in front of him.

"Edd, is that you?" Tom blurted out, dumbfounded. The man had turned around to face him, "T-Tom?" He squints his eyes and stared at the man who called his name, "Yeah, it's me Edd. In the flesh."

Edd walked up to the taller male, "Jeez, you look even more ugly than before." He laughed. Tom chuckled, "Thanks, I've missed you too."

Tom cupped Edd's cheek and stared deeply into the male's eyes. He leaned into the touch, his eyes close for a brief minute, his bottom lip quivers as he placed his hands on Tom's face, "I-I.. I can't believe.. I can't believe I'm actually talking to you." He stammered, tears threatened to fall from his eyes, "A-after so many years I'm surprised you remember me." Tom smiled warmly, "I've been looking for you for all this time, but now I found you."

They soon hear the soldiers marching their way towards them from a distance, "I-I have to go Tom." Edd croaked. Tom was in distraught, "N-no! I..I can't let you leave me. I've been kept away from you for too long, I don't want to lose you again."

Edd looked Tom directly in the eyes, he stood on his toes and kissed Tom, he wrapped his arms around he man's neck. Tom gladly kissed back.

Tom could taste the saltiness of Edd's tears, but he didn't care about that. They part when in need for air.

Edd cupped Tom's cheeks with both if his hands, "I promise to come back.. I promise." He sobbed while wearing a small smile, "I-if you don't I'll just keep searching until I find you." Tom smiled back warmly.

They share one last kiss before parting ways. He watched sadly as Edd ran off, he lowered his head and a single tear dropped from under his visor. He new one thing for sure.

Nothing, or no one was going to get in the way of him finding his lover no matter what.
