************************************************omega 3 fatty acids- power your brain, reduces the risk of disease. found in wild salmon and flax seeds
monounsaturated fats- help body burn food more efficiently, found in olive oil and avocado
polyunsaturated fats- lowers bad cholesterol and reduces the risk of disease, found in canola oil and walnuts
saturated fats- can raise blood cholesterol, should be avoided when possible. found in red meat and dairy
medium chain triglycerides- increase risk of heart disease, found in palm oil and macadamia nuts
omega 6 fatty acids- cause inflammation within the body and can lead to heart disease, found in sunflower oil and corn oil
trans fats- clog arteries and liver, cause heart disease. found in margarine and pie crust. Worst kind of fats for you, should be removed from your diet completely!
