The next morning, the party awoke to meet master Kamiizumi at the docks. They looked around for the vessel they were going to be using, but found nothing particularly seaworthy. "So, where's the boat?" Luard asked, still scanning around the harbor. "Right here." Kamiizumi said, looking in front of him. The entire party turned to look at it. It was... a rowboat. "This is our boat?" Edea asked with dissatisfaction in her voice. "None other." The Swordmaster responded. The three party members were disappointed, save Magnolia. "Ah la vache! An ultra compact marine vessel. I didn't know Luxendarc's technology was so advanced." Magnolia commented. "Umm... no. This is hardly anything." Luard corrected. "But if it got master Kamiizumi here, then it must safe. We'll make it... somehow." Luard sighed. "Mrrow." Kamiizumi's cat said. "Master, I've been meaning to asked but, what's with the cat?" Edea asked her master. "Tsubaki has been my steadfast companion ever since I had picked him up in Florm. You have no complaints about our vessel, do you Tsubaki?" He asked his cat. "Meow." It replied as if it understood his words. "C'mon you two. We're waiting on you." Tiz called as Magnolia and Luard were already in the boat.

As the party navigated the seas, there happened to be some mishaps here and there. "Ack! Another leak!" Edea called. "Quickly, Edea, plug the hole." Master Kamiizumi commanded. "Me again?! As if I don't already have my hands and feet full!" She whined. Tiz stood up. "Here, let me take over." He said. "Don't stood so suddenly!" Luard called. "Yes. Try not to shake the boat lest we capsize." Kamiizumi told. "Let's just bail as fast as possible." Luard said as he began bailing water out with Tiz. The Swordmaster looked ahead. "Tidal wave afore!" He called. After he said that, the wave splash the water and kick up more into Edea's face. "Plah! A mighty gallon my ass!" She yelled angrily. Magnolia was smiling the whole time. "Mais oui. Luxendarc surely is fun." She said. "Well, at least one of us is having fun." Edea complained. "Why wouldn't I be. I've never been over an ocean before." She explained. "Makes sense." Luard said. In the distance, beyond the mist, Magnolia saw a silhouette of a person. "What's that?" She asked and pointed to a small girl in the middle of the ocean. "I can explain. See, the girl is merely fishing-wait, fishing?" Luard said as they approached. "Ahoy, little girl! What are you doing out here at this hour!" Luard called. "Hm? Isn't it obvious? I'm fishing so I can feed all my kitties at home. They're all relying on Minette to bring home a nice moist dinner." The girl explained. "A fellow cat fancier." Master Kamiizumi said kindly. "What a purrcious little kitty mew have there. Here kitty kitty kitty. Minette has a treat for mew." She purred. Tsubaki let out a hiss and jumped out of the Swordmaster's arms. "Mrrow!! Hss!" Tsubaki hissed again. Tsubaki set its sights on Edea. He jumped and attempted to attack or possibly kill her, but Master Kamiizumi intercepted and took the attack himself. The wound was deep. "Meow! I thought he was nice kitty, but what a sourpuss! I'm outta here. Exit stage left!" The girl complained and left the scene, leaving us with an angry Tsubaki. "Tsubaki!" Kamiizumi called and hit the small cat, knocking it out of commission. "Worry not. I hit you with the blunt side of my blade." He said and began grabbing at his wound again. "The wound's pretty deep. He need medical attention, and fast!" Tiz said and took the oars. "I can see a town over there! It looks to be Al-Kampus. Let's head there." Luard said and started patching up the Swordmaster to stop his bleeding. Tiz started rowing and the party had reached Al-Kampus.

When they entered the city, they took a good look around. Luard pointed to their left. "Over there. The dorms are just a little ways away." Luard told them. "Wow. You know your way around town, Lu. Care to share?" Tiz asked. "Later. Right now, Master Kamiizumi needs to get to the dorms. Hurry." He said. Magnolia ran on ahead and bumped into a fat student who was also running. "Oh! Excuez moi." She said when she hit the ground. The round male was holding his stomach, where the two had collided, as if he was dying. "Ow ow ow! Are you blind, woman?" He asked angrily. Luard had help Magnolia up off the ground. "Not a single star on you? I know you were a simpleton when I had first laid eyes on you." He mocked. "Listen, Chubb. We have somewhere to be. So if you could beat it, that would great." Luard said and pushed him out of the way. "C'mon! He needs medical attention, remember?" Luard said to Tiz and Edea as they ran past the male on the ground.

The party entered the dorm house and found the house mother, Martha. "We need help. This man was injured in battle. Can you help, Martha?" Luard asked. "Of course. Be a dear and fetch me some water." She directed and Luard did as he was told. After a few minutes, or maybe an hour, master Kamiizumi was fixed. "It's been so long. I heard you went to live with your grandfather after you had graduated." Martha said with a kind smile. "Yes. And with his help, I made my own asterisk." Luard explained and held it up. "So you lived in this dormitory, Lu?" Tiz asked. Luard nodded. "For two years, yeah. But I wouldn't say it's like a second home." He responded. "What did you study here?" He asked again. "I would answer if I could remember." He replied back. "Huh. Well okay then." Tiz said and dropped the topic. "Land of Learning. Huh. So there must be a big school around here, right?" Tiz asked. "Not really. The city itself is the school. Look around. Libraries, cafeterias, and even this dorm is all part of the school. It's like a city built to serve the school." Luard explained. "Well, let's ask around and see if anyone saw the Skyhold fly by." He suggested and they all left.

While asking around, the party saw a familiar face. "How dare you! You dare talk back to your senpai? A three star ninny like you?!" They heard the fat rich boy again. In front of him was a smaller girl in glasses and a three star cap. "I just think you should do your own assignments." The girl stuttered. "The sheer nerve! You talk back to me, and you have the GALL to tell ME what to do?! HMMM?!!?" He puffed out his chest to make himself look bigger than he already is. The girl in front of him started to tear up. "Just leave me alone!" She shouted and ran off to the Spire of Learning, the largest library in Al-Kampus. Luard put his hand to his chin. "Let's go check on her." He said and the party followed after her.
