Rayne giggled and clapped their hands like an amused child. "There's so much color here!" they observed.

"What the hell is-" Dan started, squinting. "Rayne, what are you doing?"

"My God," Mirror Maxx had stood up, frustrated as he turned. "Can't y'all take a break?"

"What's going on?" Maxx asked, hissing as he pulled the rag away from his face.

"There's a mirror of everyone, remember?" the two Maxxes looked at each other, and everyone quickly caught on.

"I was told that I had to warn you guys!" Rayne chirped, sounding as innocent as they bounced on their feet. Everyone stared at them, a mix of shock and anger. "Cody knows what you're up to. He says get truckin'!"

"How does he know?!" Zach exclaimed. "We threw the mirrors out!"

The redhead shrugged, still with a grin that never faded. "Beats me, I'm just the messenger!"

"Fucking bullshit messenger," Mirror Maxx growled, starting to walk around the couch.

"Wait," Zach snapped, grabbing the demon by the arm. "Who sent you?"

"Cody!" the child replied. "Zach said to make it quick though." They looked down at their hands, confused. "How do I get out of this thing again?"

This time it was Zach who charged, startling the kid as he shoved them. "Get out!" he demanded. When they giggled, he pushed them again, this time to the ground. "Get out of their body, you hear me?!"

"Whaddaya think I'm tryna' do, wise guy?" Rayne snapped back. "Quit shoving and maybe I can!" they scrambled to heir feet and crossed their arms. "But if you wanna be so pushy, I guess I can stay for a while." their blue eyes roamed the room curiously, landing on Mirror Maxx. "Oh yeah! He's gotta come back! Zach said so!" they pointed at the other demon excitedly.

"Tell Zach to shove it," Mirror Maxx snapped, shaking his head. "Better yet, tell them all to fuck off outside. They'll need the fresh air." his voice gradually lowered and ended with a scoff.

"Yeah," the other Maxx mumbled. "Yeah, what he said."

"They can't go outside," they replied. "Thought you knew. You know, the big scary cat-"

"Pistol is dead," Maxx spat, glaring with his single eye. "They should be fine. Fuck. Off."

Rayne let out a burst of laughter, which was short lived as they seemed to cut off, eyes fading to their dark brown, smile gone into a blank stare. There was a faded cackle, and the words 'Pistol's dead!' echoed through the living room.

Maxx slumped over, sighing. "Are they okay?"

"I-" Zach started, nudging Rayne a little. "I think. Rayne?" he tapped them on the shoulder.

I drew in a small, barely audible gasp, snapping my head up. Tears were pooling in my eyes, narrowed with confusion. My head pounded, and I found myself to be standing. Wasn't I sitting on my bed? "What..." I took in my surroundings, sniffling. Both Maxxes were standing beside each other, I could barely tell them apart. When did Maxx lose his eye? "What happened, did I pass out?"
