Cody was in hysterics, a dangerous mix of ecstatic and infuriated. He roamed the broken house with a shard of Maxx's mirror cutting his hand.

"Where the fuck did they go?!" he screamed, throwing open the door to Maxx's room as Austin followed concernedly.

"Look," Austin piped, the exact opposite of Cody: calm and nervous. "They couldn't have gone that far. Well just have to wait-"

"I can't feel him, Austin!" Cody shouted, scratching his head and making his hair fly everywhere. "He's gone!"

"I know, I know, hey-" he firmly grabbed Cody's shoulder. "Calm down. You need to chill for a second."

"Oh, what do you know?!" the other bellowed, backing up. "I can't even feel Maxx anymore, so he went with them, God knows the trouble he's getting into. Aren't you even a little bit worried?!"

"I mean..." Austin sighed, scratching the back of his neck. "I think, but you need to calm down. You're the one that kicked him out, anyway."

"He kicked himself out."

"No, you screamed at him."

"I did n-"

"Yes, you did!" Austin snapped. "It's no wonder why he wanted to leave, you guys are insufferable."

"Oh, look in a mirror," Rayne snapped from the doorway, arms crossed and glowing eyes narrow. "Oh wait, they're all broken."

"Will you shut up?" Cody demanded, shoving Austin aside and glaring at the teen. "You don't have any room to talk, you prick."

"I mean, I can see where Austin's coming from," they continued, seeming to ignore Cody's words as they gestured to him. "I mean, I haven't been here five days and I already can't stand y'all. Ever tried a thing called getting along?"

"Ever tried a thing called shutting the fuck up? It saves breath." He stepped closer, practically towering over them, at least trying to.

"Maybe if you backed up a tad," Rayne shot back, throwing their weight into shoving him back.

"Hey." Austin was between the two in an instant, arms out. "Hey, both of you calm down. You especially, Cody."

"We're only keeping you here because your mirror is the only one that works," Cody hissed at Rayne, "We don't want you here."

"Chain me down and never feed me, then," the other retorted. "Dunno why you can't."

"What the hell is going on in here?" Zach demanded, walking in and observing the situation.

"Cody's getting pissy," Austin replied. "I mean, Rayne started it, but Cody's just pissed."

"And why is he pissed and screaming?" Zach prompted, rolling his eyes at Cody.

"I can't feel Maxx, or anyone anymore, they left."

"We'll just have to wait until they get back." Austin said simply, dropping his arms to his side.

"Yeah, like hell they're coming back. You know how much they hate us? They left to get rid of us." Cody stepped back. "Austin, you're really calm about this."

"I-I'm just trying to think," he replied, rubbing his arm.

"Aren't you even a little worried?"

"Well, yeah, but-"
