--------------"Why did they run away?" Maxx demanded, hands tight around the wheel as he drove. He looked in the mirror at Zach. "Did you say something to them?"
"I tried stopping them!" Zach claimed. "They see themself as a problem to us, they said they were a burden." he breathed in. "They blame themself for what happened to Pistol."
Maxx's grip got tighter, somehow it was possible. "So they just ran off?"
"I tried catching up with them! But like I said, they're fast. I lost them in the crowd. I dunno where you guys went, so I went to find you guys so we could all look for them."
Mirror Maxx blew out a breath from the back, scratching at his head viciously. "Maxx," he croaked, "Can you please calm down?"
"Sorry," he snapped, stopping at a red light. He sat back and ran through his hair with his hand. "It's just... We got a missing kid on our hands, and we have no idea how bad our mirror problem is. We have no idea where the kid is, and they're wanted in a few states by now. So of we don't find them, it's basically back to the worst place for them... I have a reason to not be calm right now!"
"We all do," Cody tried reasoning. "We're all worried for Rayne, and that's why we're gonna find her-them... We're gonna find them, okay?"
"Yeah..." Maxx started driving again. "Yeah, we sure as hell are."
"Look, we just need to keep a clear head," Benji stated. "We can't let them get to us like this, it's what they want."
"Benji's right." Austin looked at everyone. "We can't let them tear us apart like we almost did. If we just keep being mad all the time-"
"We'll end up no better than them," Zach finished. "Okay, okay. Let's just calm down for a while. Listen to some music, I dunno."
"They're closer," Mirror Maxx reported, holding his head. "I can... I can hear them, I can actually hear them. They're yelling at me for not being there, and they're getting closer."
"Fuck." Dan looked around. "Okay, the very second we got Rayne, we need to leave."
"Kinda was the point," Maxx breathed. "Okay, they're probably headed back towards Miami, so..." he trailed off and never finished.
"Let's just keep an eye out." Zach looked out his window, not relaxed at all.

--------------"Don't worry," I said to the stranger who stopped me. "I'm on my way home now. I just got caught up."
"Be safe on your way home," he called back as I started on my way again. I shuddered and rubbed my arms, walking through the crowd.
Keep walking. Don't try shit.
Yeah, yeah. Understand.
I swear, if you try shit-
You'll possess me and break every bone you can until this body is a cracking limping bag. You told me. About fifty times.
I walked onwards, following their directions to go towards the other Mirrors. I was gonna go to them and basically be their hostage.
Not hostage, just someone to lure then others to us. Then we can go back home where we belong.
