Mihika was stunned at the revelation "Are you sure aap Akka ko Amma Appa se milwana chahte hain?"
Taking a long deep breath, he nodded his head again.
"Agar yahi aapka irada hai, toh phir aapko Akka ko ye bhi batana padega ke mai unki sagi behen hoon" she reminded.
"I know" he replied keeping his gaze on the floor, informing her that he had already thought about this.
"Do you realise iska anjaam kya hoga?" Mihika warned him of the consequences.
He held the table for support and weakly nodded his head.
"Amma Appa se milke Akka ko apne ateet ke baare me kafi kuch pata chal jayega jis se woh ab tak anjaan hain. Phir shayad Akka aapke paas wapas nahi aana chahengi. Are you sure you want to let go of Akka?" Mihika prompted on the consequences. She wanted to know how far he would go to fulfil Ishita's wish.
"I don't know. I just don't know" he banged his fist on the table at his helplessness. "Mujhe kuch samajh nahi araha mai kya karun. Aaj tak mere har jhoot ko Ishita ne chup chaap sach maanliya. Kabhi koi sawal nahi ki. Aaj sirf ek sawal kiya usne apne ateet ko lekar. Aur uska jawab bhi mujhe jhoot me dena pada. Mai shayad khud se bhi jhoot bolta raha ke Ishita mere sath khush hai. Par kal raat jab usne apne Amma Appa ki yaad me ansu bahaye, tab mujhe realise hua ke maine Ishita uske zindagi ki sabse badi khushi cheeni hai" He broke down.
Mihika saw him losing his balance and she immediately rushed to his aid. She made him sit on the couch in his cabin and extended a glass of water towards him.
He was ready to let go off Ishita for the sake of her momentary happiness. Then how on earth would he ever try to harm her intentionally? The only reason behind Mihika's hatred towards Raman was that she considered him responsible for all the sufferings Ishita had to go through. But today she felt she was wrong all along. Raman could never wish bad for Ishita, she was sure about that.
Taking a few sips of water, he cleared his throat and mumbled "Bahut jhoot bole hain maine Ishita se. Par kisi zinda insaan ko mara hua batana ye sirf jhoot nahi paap hai. Aur is paap ke bojh ke sath mai nahi jee sakta Mihika. Isliye mai Ishita ko Amma Appa se milwa kar is paap ka paschataap karna chahta hoon aur Ishita ki zindagi ki kami ko poora karna chahta hoon"
"Koi paap nahi kiya hai aapne, koi kamk nahi poori honewali unse milke. Aur koi jhoot nahi kaha aapne Amma Appa ko mara hua batakar. Woh sach me mar chuke hain" Mihika announced.
Raman's eyes went wide in shock. "Ye tum kya keh rahi ho Mihika?"
"Sach keh rahi hoon. Woh log mar chuke hain" she roared.
Raman held his head in his hand "Kab?" He asked trembling.
"Usi din jis din Akka keliye unke andar ki mamta aur bharosa khatam hogaya tha. Maa baap toh unhe kehte hain jo apne bachhe se beinteha pyaar karte hon, har sukh me dukh me sath dete hon, aankh band karke vishwas karte hon. Lekin hamare Amma Appa or rather I call them 'Mr & Mrs Iyer' unke andar ka toh pyar hi khatam ho chuka hai. Sath dena toh door ki baat hai, jab aankh band karke vishwas karna chahye tha unhone apne aankhein poori tarah band kardi aur Akka se apna moo mod liya. Haan honge duniya keliye woh jeete jaagte insaan, lekin mere aur Akka keliye woh mar chuke hain. Jab unke andar ki mamta hi mar chuki hai, toh woh hamare liye zinda kaise ho sakte hain?" She vented out her anger on her parents.
"Mihika!" Raman held her arms seeing her go hyper. Feeling a comforting hold around her, Mihika let out her tears she had buried deep within her.
"Shhh...shhh...." Raman made her sit and ran his hand over her hair comforting her.
She cried even more. Raman felt his eyes welling up looking at her condition. He had always considered her his baby sister and he was unable to see her breaking down. "Chup...chup...mat ro beta" he whispered hugging her sideways.
Beta.....the word resonated in Mihika's ears.
Fresh tears of having found something precious mixed with the tears she was pouring out at the loss of her parents.
This man!!! He always baffled her. He failed her when she blindly trusted him, won her when she hated him unabashedly. She never expected herself to be vulnerable in front of him, but he had once again proved her wrong and within no time made her look upto him as the long lost brother she had always looked forward for.
While she was lost in analysing this man, Raman extended the same glass towards her which she had offered him earlier. This cabin was a witness of the breakdown of 2 people and the solace they found in each other.
As Mihika accepted the glass of water, she was reminded of a passage she had come across recently.

In a second....Yes! He had revolutionised her thoughts in a second.
People often think that having a soulmate is always about love. That's not true. Having a soulmate means to have a connection with a person who is not related to you by blood or any other means but you still feel bound to them. Mihika seemed to find that soulmate in Raman and her soul found peace in accepting him wholeheartedly once again.
"Tum chaho toh aaj ki chutti lelo. Mai driver se kehdunga tumhe ghar drop karne keliye" Raman suggested.
"Par woh file?" Mihika remembered about her pending work.
"Woh mai khud complete karlunga. Jaane se pehle mujhe de dena" he said.
"Thank you" she smiled with gratitude for giving her the much needed break. "Jiju" she added instead of Sir.
Raman did not believe his ears. Did she really call him Jiju or was he dreaming? Did she call him willingly or was it a slip of tongue?
Mihika smiled widely affirming that she had addressed him as Jiju wholeheartedly. A similar smile reflected on Raman's face.
Overwhelmed he placed his hand on her head and blessed her. Mihika's eyes welled up and this time she did not make any excuse or hide her tears from him.
