A notification popped up on Raman's phone. The subject grabbed his attention. He tapped on the notification to open the mail, but before he could read it an attention tone sounded through the speakers.

He ignored the mail and concentrated on the announcement.

"This is an announcement for passengers travelling by Jet Airways - Flight No. IX 384 .........."

That was the flight Raman was supposed to board. As soon as he heard the flight number, he locked the phone, slipped it in his pocket and stood up holding his suitcase, all set to go. The subject of the mail was running on his mind, he had an intuition that the mail had an info that had the ability to change his mind, but he shrugged it off thinking that the announcement for his flight was a signal for him to not read the mail before boarding the flight.

Ding Dong

Mihika went to get the door. She had just unlocked the door and there rushed in a person she was looking forward for. He searched around impatiently and on spotting Ishita near the dining table, he raged like a bull towards her. Ishita stood flabbergasted as he took Ruhi away from her arms, kissed the little girl "I am sorry beta. I have to leave now" he said to her and handed her over to Mihika asking "Kal subah tak Ruhi ko sambhal sakti ho?"

Mihika looked on confused.

"Haan ya na?" He asked impatiently.

"Haan" Mihika replied, although unsure about being able to take care of Ruhi.

"Thanks" he said and held Ishita's hand firmly. She tried to pull her hand out of his hold but he threw a deadly glare at her which was so scary that she abruptly ended her rebellion. He towed her to her room, opened her wardrobe, grabbed a dress from it, shoved it into a carry bag and walked out of the room. Before stepping out of the house, he paused to kiss his little girl again. When he jumped down the stairs, pulling Ishita along with him, she resumed her rebellion to get out of his hold. She used all her energy to pull out her hand from the deadly grip of his hand. All gone in vain, as his hold strengthened, the more she struggled.

Unlocking his car, he opened the passenger seat at the front and pushed her inside. He knew she would try to escape, so he captivated her by fastening the seat belt and then activating the child lock on her side of the door before shutting it with a bang.

In quick long strides, he reached the driver's seat, threw the carry bag that had her dress on the back seat and started the engine.

"Let me go Raman. Aap mujhe zabardasti nahi le jaa sakte" she argued.

"Chup. Bilkul chup" he stated.

Ishita was taken aback with his stance and she mellowed down a bit while asking "Kam se kam ye toh bataiye ki hum jaa kahan rahe hain?"

"Maine kaha na...bilkul chup" he passed his final verdict and steered the car out of the society.

Ishita clearly understood that her plea, her arguments would all fall on deaf ears. So it was wise to sit back silently and prepare herself for the storm that was to come after this silence. In the wordless journey of six hours, she wondered what brought the Ravan Kumar back in action.
