Harrys P.O.V

I knew from the moment I saw her punch that stupid guy, she would be different. Although she was more difficult to figure out too. I was completely shocked when Amelia entered through the door and smiled saying hi to everyone, as if this was her home. Although she was close friends with them, real close, I found out when I asked Keith.

When I came into the kitchen, it was to get Keith a beer but I mostly wanted to see her. I barely knew her, yet I wanted to know who she was. The thing is that only talking to her for a few minutes and already she got on my nerves and I, apparently on her bad side.

"I know we can't get that day back, but let's pretend that didn't happen then." I say.

"Fine, might as well do the grown up thing to do and forget." She smiles.

"So, friends?" I ask.

She seems to stiffen a bit and looks around avoiding my gaze. "Just friends" she adds a small smile. "We should head back in to the living room, they'll soon be wondering."

when she walks past me for some reason I don't feel as good as I did. But now at least we were friends.

She was already out of the kitchen and I grabbed the beers and headed to the living room where everyone was still talking and laughing.

"So this party on Saturday will be at our place then?" Max asked, looking over at James.

"Yeah man," replies Riley. "Hey, thanks again."

"It'll be great. Haven't really thrown a birthday party in a while." Keith adds

"Oh pipe down Keith, you guys are always throwing parties, so how different would it be by just adding 'birthday' to the word?" Amelia scoffs

"Well now little lady, it just so happens that 'birthday parties' are much more fascinating and bigger. Every other party just involves beer, and music, and barely any broads." He says to her. Then I raise an eyebrow and wonder what Amelia's like at parties and look over at her.

She rolls her eyes but he continues " And anyways you're still the party animal we all know and love right? It shouldn't matter what kind of party it is then to you." He smirks.

"You always were the party animal." Scott adds and laughs at what I assume are memories compiling into his head. "Weird thing is you barely touch beer."

"Well I'm not like some other people that need a beer every day to wake me up and actually have a gnarly time." Amelia said and looked at Max.

Was she really someone who parties a lot? She definitely didn't seem like it, but then again, she didn't seem like the type to beat up a guy way bigger than her.

Amelia's P.O.V

After talking and a bit of eating I asked Max for a cigarette and headed outside and asked Veronica to come with me. I decided I'd tell her about the party tomorrow.

"So I spoke to Diane Rogers today."

She raised a brow "Did you know?" She wasn't really friends with her or anyone from the west.

"Her and her friends came to Dairy Queen today, there she asked me to go to a party tomorrow that John and his friends were gonna have."

"So are you going?" She took a cigarette to her mouth.

"I still don't know, I mean, I kinda want to, but then when they were leaving, their friend Randy came up to me, said he wondered how Ashton could just leave me like that, and said he'd hope to see me at the party."

"Randy Stone?" She looked disgusted when I answer yes "I remember him, at school, he'd always look at you and I'd quickly tell you, and remember that one time him and Ashton nearly fought?"

"Yeah, but the party's gonna be at Matt's place, and I think I might go, but I need someone to come with me,"

"And why do you really wanna go if Randy's gonna be there?"

"A while ago Matt called me, said he wanted to tell me something important, said it was about Ash, but I never really got back to him, now this party can give me a chance."

She looks and nods understandingly " But, I thought you were trying to forget about Ashton, and besides, who would you go with? Those guys already don't like most of us and we try not to mess with them."

I take a drag of the cigarette I lit and she stands up " Take Harry!" She smiles

"The one inside?" I ask moving my head towards the door to indicate who we're talking about.

"No the one in Canada." She looks at me " Yes the one inside!" She finally chuckles "He's basically knew around here and I doubt they'll know him."

I think this through and look up towards the sky " Well I guess," I inhale the smoke coming off the cancer stick "Can you go get him for me?"

She laughs and then gets serious "As you wish your majesty." She gets up and I laugh.

Moments later I hear footsteps right behind me, and then they walk down the steps and when he reaches the bottom he sits down on one of the steps next to me. "Needed to see me?" his raspy voice is soft.

"Um yeah," I actually didn't really know how to ask him since it was out of no where. "There's a party tomorrow, down at the west side of town and I need someone to go with me."

He looks over and his face tells me to go on "Since you're new and barely know anyone, and they must not know you, I figured I'd just ask you to come with me."

He smiles a bit but then a look of confusion forms " Why can't any of your friends here go? I mean, I guess I'll go but.."

"People like Max, Keith, Riley, Veronica, and James, they aren't from the west side, they aren't apart of the rich social status. This is the east side, and they don't like to mess with the people that are gonna be at the party tomorrow." I explain.

"So why are you going?" He asked.

"Because I'm from the west side."

"Why do you hang out with these guys then?"

"I get along with them a bit better, and they aren't so stuck up and prude," I reply " So you'll come with me then?"

"Yes, I guess I will."

"Do you have a car?"

"I'm sure I can borrow Keith's" he smiles.

I look out again and see that the sun is finally setting, and I relax. I love watching the sunset. I always have. But then I feel eyes on me and I look over to Harry. "Yes?"

"You like watching them?" I figure he's talking about the sunset.

"Yeah, I come outside sometimes just to capture the nice seen of the Sun giving its last light of day." I take a drag of the cigarette and look back at Harry "How about you?"

"Not really, I don't ever pay attention to them."

"I always have"

We sit there, I feel as if he's gotten closer to me, but I brush it off and continue watching the colors in the sky fade and darken a bit. Then the Sun continues seeping down and night will soon come upon us, and for right now, I forget that there's a birthday inside the house. I look at Harry and almost laugh watching him try to understand what I found so interesting in a sunset
