"Come on Amelia, Peter will be here any second." Julia yells from downstairs.
"Hold on," I answer back. "I'll be done in a minute." I go to my closet to find the pair of formal heels I bought yesterday and put them on the bed. I look at myself in the mirror once more to do a last check before I leave. The lavishing knit light blue dress fit smoothly against my body. It went down to my knees, proper for someone who'd be going to an interview, not some party, but this was some business dinner so I guess it was alright. It was nice, just a bit boring.
"Amelia!" Julia yells once more.
"I'm comin'!" I say and grab the shoes and close the door behind me and find Peter already down in the living room with Julia. "Ok, I'm ready."
"Good." Julia sighs in relief once she sees me. "And you look great by the way." She informs me and smiles as we walk out.
It had started to get colder now, and soon it would get darker earlier. The season seemed to be changing around and I hadn't even noticed. It was as if I wasn't even looking anymore, everything just went on as usual. Driving through town, I saw that things didn't really change much. The restaurant where we were going to was the Stinehold Restaurant, according to Peter. There was a handful of fine restaurants in town and when our family was still together, we'd go out to a lot of them. Stinehold was apparently a much newer one, and it makes sense since I don't remember ever hearing of it. When we get there, it seems like an ordinary building, with just a few lights out, and rose bushes by the entrance. Cars are still waiting in the front to find a parking spot. Once we finally find one, we're met at the front by one of the doormen and after talking to Peter, we're allowed in.
"Mr. Jones will be right with you." The doorman tells us and goes over to someone out in the crowd.
A waiter comes back and walks to us. "Would you like anything for the moment that you are waiting?"
"I'll take a whiskey with ice." Answers Peter. "You?" He looks over at Julia.
"Wine's fine." She nods then looks at me.
"I'll just have some water." I say and feel awkward as soon as I do, since I'm probably the only underaged person here, so it seems.
He quickly leaves and I look around hoping to find someone who looks just around my age. Every man here is in a suit like Peters and a few of the woman have dresses like mine, but there's fit them a little looser it seems.
"Ah, there he is!" echoes a mans voice. He comes towards us and has his hands palmed together far out in front of him and let's go as he gets closer. "Peter!" He smiles and puts one hand out to shake and the other wraps around Peters shoulder.
"Mr. Jones sir! How are ya'?" He smiles back at him once they release from the embrace.
"I've been excellent old sport. Yourself?"
"Great sir." Answers Peter. "Mr. Jones this is Julia and her sister Amelia." He introduces us.
"Hello, it's nice to meet you finally." Julia exclaims and they side kiss at their cheeks just like I've seen most people do when they meet.
"Hello, nice to meet you." I say and just shake his hand and smile.
"Well, come on and come sit, we have a table big enough for all of us." Mr. Jones tells us and we follow him to find a table that looks like it seats twelve. "Here, the others will join us shortly." We're told. Soon, other men, I'm guessing that are associated with Peter, soon arrive at our table introducing theirselves then sitting down. They all look around his age, and are some what attractive.
