Chapter 6: Peux-tu parler francais?

You froze. Like if someone paused a film. Your eyes slowly creeped on your right shoulder. You weren't halucinating. There really was a hand. 

"La fin, ma chère." Said a familiar voice. 

You turned your head 45 degrees to the right. Just from the corner of your eye, you saw the figure very well. You gulped. 

"Ts-Tsu-Tsukiyama." You said, but no sound escaped your lips. You continued to turn your body to the right, so you can see the whole him. Something was strange about him. The iris of his eye were flaming in red, which was surounded by darkness. His mouth was smiling slyly. 

"Y-You are...a...a-" 

"I'm glad you realized it (name)-chan. Now I don't have to enlighten you about the facts." Said Tsukiyama half friendlyly, half mysteriously. You were just frightenedly watching him, radiating your begging for mercy in your eyes. 

"Just look at us!", and here he displayed his hand as if he was holding a wine glass. "I'm a ghoul, you're a human. We both know what needs to happen in this situation." He said with calmness and self-satisfaction. 

So that's how you will die. As a nourishment. Without clues. By a ghoul. Suddenly, memories ran through your mind. When you first met Kaneki. When he first smiled at you with that shy look. When he hugged you. Then your thoughts shifted to Arushi, your best friend. Who you've known since elementary shool. Who you're a little bit jealous of because of your paranoia. Your mum is probably waiting for you at home, worrying herself to death about where the hell you are. You can no longer see her now, nor you dad or siblings. Nor Kaneki.

"Huh?" Looked Tsukiyama to the right from the corner of his eye. 

You followed their direction too, which were leading your eyes behind his back, into the background. It was as if a figure was running towards you. It was too dark to identify who it was, but to even see if it was a boy or a girl. With furrowed eyebrows and an annoyed sneer, Tsukiyama clenched his right hand into a fist which he was holding your shoulder with, just half a minute ago. From this point, you sort of knew that the unknown person was going to attack your classmate. The running figure's panting and steps were getting louder and louder, until Tsukiyama had no choice but to look behind himself. Firstly just slowly, then he turned rapidly around when he recognised the unknown person.

"Don't. You. Dare! Hurt! HER!" Said the figure and he leaped. 

His green hoodie was faintly waving in the middle of the air, just like his black hair. You couldn't see his face, since it was hiden by a mask. You're eyes opened wide in the moment of realization. You saw everything in slow motion. Then the figure - just like a predator - threw himself on Tsukiyama. 

"I missed you so much, Kaneki-kun." He said with cold blood. Then, in a fraction of a second, he let out his metalically shiny kagune and immediately rubbed Kaneki off from his shoulder. But he didn't give up. Kaneki released his illuminating red kagune too and stood up heroically from the ground. You just watched the event two metres away somewhat scared, but still surprised. Kaneki stood up after each of his fall and attacked Tsukiyama, who blocked every strike with unchanged position, as if it was just mere fun for him. Change strategy, Kaneki! You thought, while you were observing Kaneki's constant failed attempts. 

"I like foreplays." Said Tsukiyama in a self-satisfied way, then he sneaked next to your persistent friend and leaned quite close to him. 

"But let's get to the exciting part." He whispered. 

With a disgusted facial expression, Kaneki leaned away from him and looked serious soon after. Is this the time when I should run? Or should I try to help Kaneki? Me? Against Tsukiyama? Yeah, right. Even with Kaneki, I would be the first one ending up dead. You had no clue of what you should really be doing right now.

Run.

As if someone said it.

Run.

As if a voice whispered it.

"RUN!!!" Yelled Kaneki. "Run (name)-chan! Can't you hear me? RUN!!"

Kaneki then collapsed as Tsukiyama pierced him through straight across his spine with his sward-shaped kagune. Everything was a nightmare.

"Run...(name)-chan. Please...........run." Said Kaneki with his last breath. But you could no longer hear him.
