*Hey, guys. I thought I'd address something really quick... So people have been asking when I'm going to bring back Jayden. The thing is...Jayden is a character created by my close friend who I found out a couple of weeks ago that he died...and I just don't think I'm ready to add Jayden back in. I don't want to get upset every time I write a chapter, because this is sort of a safe place I've created for myself and for you guys and I don't want bring that part of my life here. This is where I can get away from it all and I don't want it to become just another place where I feel shattered. Does that make sense..? And then that's just not fair to you guys, you just came here for a story, not to see me upset all the time. Hopefully, in the future, when I'm doing better, I can add Jayden back in. But for now...I'm really just not ready. I hope you guys can understand. <3*

I exchanged glances with Hiccup and the rest of our friends. "Alright, Ezra," I said finally. "We'll help your sister."

Ezra let's out a relieved breath. "Thank you. Seriously, I don't know what I'd do without Rosie."

"So what's the plan?" Astrid asked. "We can't just storm in dragons blazing, we need a plan."

"I don't know, I think dragons blazing would be really cool!" Ruffnut said.

Hiccup sighed. "Ruff..."

"I second that motion," Tuffnut said, holding his hand up. "It is 'motion'.... right?"

I rolled my eyes and smiled slightly.

Fishlegs shook his head. "Drago has tons of guards and the Shadow Lord on his side, we need a well-calculated plan before we do anything."

"I agree," Hiccup said nodding. "Anyone have any ideas?"

"I might..," Ezra spoke up. "But I've never tried it before. I'm not sure it would work..."

"What do you have in mind?" Hiccup asked.

"I was thinking... I already know I can take memories, but what I've never tried is taking a memory from someone and giving it to someone else. Maybe if I could get close enough to Vena to take her memory of where Rosalie is being kept, I could place that memory in my own mind so I have her memory of where my sister is."

"That's a long shot, what if it doesn't work?" I said.

Ezra smirked slightly. "That's why you guys will be there to have my back."

Everly's parents paced around the house nervously as the young girl sat in a chair. Daryn paused and raked a hand through his hair before kneeling in front of his daughter.

"Evie, I need you to listen to me for a second," he said gently.

Everly nodded. Her father only called her Evie when he was about to tell her something she wouldn't like.

"We love the way you are with your powers. We're proud of what you can do and we accept you the way you are. But...if you keep your powers, the Dimension Bender could use you to do terrible things you don't want to do. He could make you hurt people, or worse. And we don't want you to have to live like that. If you don't have powers anymore, if you're no longer the Tempest, that man will have no reason to be after you. I think the best option for everyone is that we find a way to get rid of your powers."

Everly looked down. "Oh," she said softly. "Okay. I understand." She liked having powers--it was a huge part of her, but she also understood all the chaos she could cause if Camber got his hands on her.

Daryn kissed her forehead and smiled slightly. "That's my brave little Supernova."

Margaret smiled as she watched them. "We love you, Everly. So much."

Everly smiled and hugged her parents. "I love you too."

Daryn pulled away as an idea came to mind. "What about that...that lightning stone you found? If it can control you, maybe it can take your powers too. Then all we'd have to do is break the gem and your powers would be permanently gone so the Dimension Bender can't get to them."

"That's it," Margaret says. She runs a hand through her daughter's hair. "Just let her enjoy one more day with her powers."

Everly smiles slightly and leans against her mother.

The next day...

The three of them stand outside, Daryn holding the Lightning Stone in his hands. He takes a deep breath. "Ready, Nova?"

Everly nods. "Ready."

Her father holds up the stone, ready to use it to take away her powers when Camber appears. "What do you think you're doing?!"

"Stopping you," Daryn snaps.

Just as he's about to use it, Camber whispers something and waves his hand at Everly, suddenly transforming her into a Night Fury. He then uses his powers to knock the Lightning Stone from Daryn's hand and watching it roll to his feet.

"Everly!" Margaret and Daryn cry at once.

In dragon form, the young girl examines herself before making a whimpering sound, her purple eyes shining sadly.

Camber grins evilly. "You really thought you could beat me?"

Everly eyes the Lightning Stone at his feet before lunging at him, shooting it with a plasma blast. It launches over the edge of steep decline and bounces around, falling into a small hole. The wind blows a small pile of leaves over the hole, hiding the gemstone.

"No! You brat!" Camber shouted. He angrily knocked both of her parents down with his powers before disappearing down the hill to look for the stone.

Everly whimpers again and nudges her parents, urging them to go home while Camber was distracted, her eyes pleading.

Margaret touches Everly's head. "We'll find a way to fix this, Evie, I promise."
